Watch the moment a dash cam from a car driving down an Israeli highway catches rockets impacting just ahead.
The Home Front Command directions for what to do if rocket alert sirens sound while one is driving are as follows: Stop the vehicle on the side of the road, turn off the engine, and get out of the vehicle as safely as possible.
If it is possible to reach a nearby building, do so. If not, move away from the vehicle, to the side of the road or safety barrier, and lie on the ground with your hands covering your head for 10 minutes.

A raging fire swept through a shul in Florida, leaving the building uninhabitable just days before the Yomim Norarim. The Chabad of Greater Orlando in Maitland was engulfed in flames around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, prompting a response from more than 30 emergency units, the Seminole County Fire Department told McClatchy News. When firefighters arrived, they were greeted by “a column of smoke” billowing from the roof, officials said.

New Jersey’s interpretation of a U.S. Department of Education rule, which went into effect on March 11 and makes it harder for employers to consider workers independent contractors, is threatening the way that Jewish New Jerseyans stay informed about what is going on in their community and, more broadly, in the nation and the world.
For nearly 200 years, those who deliver newspapers—a cornerstone of U.S. democracy—have operated as independent contractors. But New Jersey’s interpretation of the Biden administration’s new rule, which has a six-part test to determine employment status, treats part-time delivery people as full-time staff who are dependent on their employer, rather than in business for themselves.
