On Monday, a source inside the Prime Minister’s office told KAN News that Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu plans on firing Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in the immediate future.
Bibi also reportedly plans on bringing Gideon Saar, and his New Hope party into the coalition, adding four seats to his majority.
Stocks in Israel fell and gas prices spiked as the news broke that the Prime Minister plans on firing the Defense Minister in the middle of a war. The move also raises concerns among hostage families, as Saar opposed a ceasefire deal with Hamas.

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Mrs. Kraindy (Weinberger) Pinkovics a”h. She was approximately thirty years old.
Kraindy, a beloved wife and mother, fell ill following the birth of her youngest child and, sadly, never recovered.
Kraindy was a member of the Somerset/East 7th Street community in Lakewood, NJ.
She is survived by her parents, R’ and Mrs. Mordechai Weinberger, her devoted husband, R’ Binyomin Pinkovics, and their five children.
The levayah will be held today at noon at Khal Chasan Sofer, located at 490 Manetta Avenue in Lakewood, followed by kevurah at the bais hachaim in Deans, NJ.

David Rubenstein, the Jewish co-founder and co-chairman of the Carlyle Group and owner of the Baltimore Orioles, has committed to donate $1.5 million to the Jewish Museum of Maryland, the cultural institution, which is part of the Baltimore Jewish Federation, announced on Thursday.
“Happy to support the Jewish Museum of Maryland,” Rubenstein wrote on social media. “Through modern and compelling exhibits, more people will learn from and be inspired by Maryland’s Jewish history.”
The museum stated that the new David M. Rubenstein Exhibition Arcade will form “the epicenter of the museum’s front of house, a central public space that branches out into galleries, an audio/video production studio and a library.”

Has there been a consensus on advancing the Draft Law? A report from the Israeli Hamodia indicates that an agreement has been made between Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and UTJ leader Yitzchok Goldknopf regarding the drafting and advancement of the Draft Law in the near future.
The report suggests that the proposed legislation “will recognize the importance of Torah study and of Torah students and will thwart the harm being done to yeshiva students.” This action, according to the report, is a result of directives from the leadership of the chareidi community.
Goldknopf informed Netanyahu that the legislation needs to be approved through three readings in the Knesset before Rosh Hashanah, the report says.

Lakewood, NJ – After nearly a decade of painstaking work, both phases of a comprehensive road project in Lakewood’s southern tip are now complete. The Vermont Avenue extension between Chestnut Street and Route 70 is now complete and open, creating a new thoroughfare for Lakewood motorists to reach Toms River and beyond.
Until now, there were only two –  Route Nine and New Hampshire Avenue.

For the second time this month, the Tel Aviv District Court postponed ruling on a petition asking it to order the municipality to allow gender-separated davening on Yom Kippur on public grounds.
In the hearing on Thursday, Judge Erez Yakuel instructed the municipality to obtain by Sept. 19 a position paper from the Tel Aviv Religious Council, which is subordinate to the Chief Rabbinate, on the municipality’s claim that halacha does not require a mechitza when the minyan is outside.

The adopted son of a chief rabbi of Ukraine has died while serving in his country’s army on the frontline with Russia, local media reports.
Anton (Matisyau) Samborsky was to be buried at the Jewish Cemetery of Kyiv on Thursday afternoon, following a memorial ceremony at the Central Synagogue of Kyiv, Ukrainian Chief Rabbi Moshe Azman wrote on social media on Wednesday.
“He died on the front defending Ukraine,” wrote Azman.
The rabbi and his wife, who have several biological children, adopted Samborsky, an orphan, in 2002 when he was 10. Samborsky was drafted in May, a week after the birth of his first child, a daughter, the news site ukr.net reported.
