The Bobover Rebbe-45 landed with a chopper in the town of Kozienice, Poland on September 12, 2019 to daven at the kever of the Be’er Moshe of Kozhnitz on his yahrtzeit. The rebbe is on a trip with a group of wealthy donors to the town Bobowa, as reported on Matzav.

Yahadut held a rally on Sunday night with thousands of participants, including important rabbis and Chasidic rebbes and Knesset members from Agudas Israel and Degel Hatorah.
Deputy Health Minister Litzman addressed the crowd at the rally: “This time we are really close to the YomHadin. Rosh Hashanah is at the door and we looking for merits. We are davening with tens of thousands of Jews here to our father our king to avert the plans of those who are fighting against us.”

Global Jewry was still in the early stages of rebuilding after the unprecedented Churban Europe. Most survivors had settled in the United States and Eretz Yisroel, and were in the early stages of building families, businesses, communities and Mosdos Hachinuch.

The pain was still raw and the challenges were substantial. The ranks of those who learned The Daf each day were small. Most had never given it a thought, or were completely unaware of its existence. Still, the preeminent gedolei Yisroel at the time recognized the importance that The Daf holds. It would be key to the renaissance of Klal Yisroel in the years ahead.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Rav Chaim Shaul Kahan.
Rav Chaim Shaul leaves behind his wife, Rebbetzin Devorah, and his five children, sons R’ Mordechai in Lakewood and R’ Moshe in Far Rockaway and daughters Mrs. Yocheved Kikin of Lakewood, Mrs. Hinda Rivka Levy from Flatbush and Mrs. Miriam Harrar from Lakewood.
The levayah will be tomorrow Friday at Shomrei Hadas, located at 3803 14th Ave, Brooklyn, New York.
