An Arab terrorist attempted to ram his vehicle into Border Police officers at the A-Za’im junction between Jerusalem and Maale Adumim on Wednesday afternoon. The police officers shot at the suspect and neutralized him. The terrorist was seriously wounded. At least eight pro-Iran fighters were killed in airstrikes attributed to Israel in Syria overnight Tuesday. The dead were all foreign national members of terror groups and militias supported by Iran, including Hezbollah, according to a report by the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The airstrikes, which were carried out close to midnight, targeted pro-Iranian forces southeast of Damascus. A military base of the Iranian-supported Syrian Resistance for the Liberation of the Golan was hit as well as vehicles near the border belonging to the same group. A missile depot in Jebel el Mania, south of Damascus, was also hit.

A woman was R”L stuck and killed by a vehicle in Flatbush, Tuesday evening. Flatbush Hatzolah was on the scene at around 5:30PM, and transported the approximately 60-year-old victim to Maimonides Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save her life, and she was Niftar. The vehicle remained on the scene, and the NYPD was investigating the incident. President-elect Joe Biden said Tuesday that the Trump administration has already begun to reach out to his transition team, and he described the effort as “sincere,” a day after a federal agency released a letter to formally begin the transition of power. “Immediately, we’ve gotten outreach from the national security shop to just across the board,” Biden said in an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone briefly with U.S. prisoner and former Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard and his wife Esther on Tuesday afternoon. The Prime Minister congratulated them both on Pollard’s freedom after the five years of his post-prison parole restrictions ended last week, and Pollard was allowed to leave his home and even the United States. Netanyahu told Pollard that he and the rest of the country were awaiting them here in Israel and are ready for them to move. He told Pollard that Esther would receive the most advanced treatment in the world for her cancer. “You should have a comfortable life now that both of you can pursue your interests and take care of Esther with the best medical treatment in the world,” Netanyahu said.

A homeless man accused of pushing another man onto subway tracks in Brooklyn was arrested early Tuesday, police said. Michael Medlock, 33, was arrested on charges of attempted assault, reckless endangerment and menacing in Sunday’s attack on a 29-year-old man, one of a string of recent subway shoves. Police said the victim was riding a No. 4 train when Medlock suddenly began yelling at him. Both got off at the Atlantic Avenue station and Medlock shoved the other man onto the tracks and fled, police said. The victim climbed back onto the platform on his own and did not require medical attention. It wasn’t clear if Medlock had an attorney who could speak for him.

Two men were killed on midday Tuesday when their light plane crashed in an open area and burst into flames near Kibbutz Mishmar HaNegev, north of Be’er Sheva. Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services, Magen David Adom, and an Israel Air Force helicopter arrived at the scene and pulled the two men from the crash site for medical treatment. But unfortunately, it was too late and they were forced to declare their deaths at the scene “At 11:32 a.m. the MDA emergency 101 call center received a report of a plane which had crashed near Mishmar Hanegev,” Magen David Adom stated. “MDA paramedics and first responders report that there were two men found unconscious.” “We arrived at the scene and saw the plane burst into flames,” said Ichud Hatzalah volunteer Yanky Weinberg.
