New acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller made it official Tuesday: the U.S. military will draw down forces in Afghanistan and Iraq by Jan. 15, 2021. U.S. forces will be cut by roughly half in Afghanistan to 2,500, and by 500 troops in Iraq to 2,500, Miller said in the Pentagon briefing room. Miller said he called allies and spoke with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg about the decision. “This decision by the president is based on continuous engagement with his national security cabinet over the past several months, including ongoing discussions with me and my colleagues across the United States government,” Miller said.

This video is like nothing seen before in the “anything-goes” DeBlasio’s NYC. The disturbing incident appears to have occurred in Brooklyn, where a maniac is seen standing on top of a moving city bus shooting a flamethrower. Eventually, the man shoots flames off the bus at the ground, and then is seen jumping off. The NYPD tweeted that they “are aware of a video circulating social media that shows a man using a flame thrower on top of a bus in Brooklyn. The incident is currently under investigation. We have the utmost confidence in our Detectives that this case will be solved quickly.” Some speculated that the man was celebrating a Biden victory.

Israeli officials have called on CNN to apologize for remarks made by its anchorwoman Christiane Amanpour comparing the behavior of the Trump administration to the Nazi regime’s behavior toward Jews during Kristallnacht. Amanpour called the events of Kristallnacht an “attack on fact,” comparing the deportation and murder of innocent civilians and wanton destruction of property to President Donald Trump’s alleged dishonesty during his term as president. ”This week 82 years ago, Kristallnacht happened,” Amanpour said on Thursday. “It was the Nazis’ warning shot across the bow of our human civilization that led to genocide against a whole identity, and in that tower of burning books, it led to an attack on fact, knowledge, history and truth.

At his daily press conference held today, NJ Governor Phil Murphy spoke about Dr Elliott Samet Z”L, who was Niftar from COVID-19 in April. The Governor mentioned how Dr Samet was a noted pediatrician, and “treated every patient as if they were a member of his own family.” “Dr. Samet was devoted to the Jewish community, his faith, and the study of the Torah. He selflessly supported families in need, whenever and wherever he could”. “He was one of the founding board member of Hatzolah of Passaic. “May Doctor Samet’s commitment to his community be his legacy, and may his memory be a blessing”, Murphy concluded. The Governor also tweeted about Dr Samet following his press conference.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is brushing aside results of last week’s presidential election showing that President Donald Trump lost his bid for a second term. Pompeo told reporters with a grin on Tuesday that the “transition” to a second Trump term would be “smooth,” but later said the State Department would be prepared no matter who is president on Inauguration Day. Tongue-in-cheek or not, Pompeo’s remarks implying that Trump might yet be reelected were striking, coming at a tense moment for the nation as Trump refuses to concede to President-elect Joe Biden. Pompeo, America’s top diplomat and fourth-in-line for the presidency, spoke even as world leaders have been congratulating the former vice president.

(By: Sandy Eller) The financial impact of the pandemic has left its devastating mark on small businesses everywhere, with countless people seeing their life’s work decimated by lingering lockdowns. That impact has been profoundly greater in New York’s red zones, where small businesses deemed non-essential by Governor Andrew Cuomo were gasping for breath after being closed for months last spring, only to find themselves at the center of a second shutdown this fall that lasted an additional four and a half weeks. Enter the Rise Up Red Zone initiative launched by activist Chaskel Bennett in tandem with the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition and the WhoWeAre Network as a grassroots movement to support local businesses in areas that had been designated as red zones.

Following U.S. pharma giant Pfizer’s announcement on Monday that early data shows that its COVID-19 vaccine is more than 90% effective, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu‏‏ promised Israelis to bring the vaccine to Israel. “Today is a very important day in the global fight against the coronavirus,” the prime minister said. “Pfizer announced that a vaccine it is developing has an efficacy of 90%…One thing is clear. Not long from today – it won’t be years but months – there will be vaccines that will be available for the population of the world.” “My goal at the moment is to do one thing – bring vaccines to you, citizens of Israel. And we will do so.

President-elect Joe Biden called President Trump’s refusal to concede the election an “embarrassment” on Tuesday and warned that failing to do so would reflect poorly on his legacy in office. “I just think it’s an embarrassment, quite frankly,” Biden said, when asked to comment on Trump’s refusal to acknowledge defeat in last week’s presidential election. “The only thing that — how can I say this tactfully — I think it will not help the president’s legacy,” Biden, seemingly choosing his words carefully, added.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Tuesday the world should have every confidence that a post-election transition in the United States will be smooth. “There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration,” Pompeo told a State Department news conference. “We’re going to count all the votes… The world should have every confidence that the transition necessary to make sure that the State Department is… successful today and successful when the president who’s in office on January 20, a minute afternoon, will also be successful.” (AP)

First Amendment lawyer Ron Coleman, an Orthodox Jew who is part of the Trump legal team, gave an update to all his followers on Twitter about the latest developments. “There isn’t any serious question about whether or not there was wide-scale fraud. Anyone who says there’s no evidence of it (fraud), doesn’t know what evidence means, or is gaslighting you”. Coleman slams anyone who refers to Joe Biden as “President-elect”. The video below speaks for itself: (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)
