President Trump told a reporter asking “muffled” questions to remove their mask at a press conference on Monday. The president’s demand to a Reuters correspondent came at a Labor Day news conference at the White House. “You’re going to have to take that off, please,” Trump told reporter Jeff Mason after he tried to ask a question. “How many feet are you away?” Trump asked. The reporter then responded: “I’ll speak a lot louder.” Trump began to argue with the reporter. “If you don’t take it off, you’re very muffled. If you take it off, it’d be a lot easier,” Trump said of the reporter’s face mask. Mason insisted on keeping his mask on. “I’ll just speak a lot louder. Is that better?” he asked. Trump sighed. “It’s better, yeah. It’s better,” he said. (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)

Forty-eight years ago, on September 5, 1972, two members of the Israeli Olympic team were murdered and nine were taken hostage and subsequently murdered in the course of the Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. Days of negotiations ensued and a rescue operation ended in failure and the murders of all the hostages. Five of the Black September terrorists and a West German policeman were killed during the rescue attempt.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris says foreign interference, doubt cast about the election by President Donald Trump and voter suppression could potentially cost her and Joe Biden the White House in November. “I am a realist about it. Joe is a realist about it,” the California senator said during an interview with CNN’s “State of the Union” that aired Sunday. The 2020 election will be held under challenging circumstances. It will be the first U.S. election in over a century to be conducted during a pandemic, which is expected to lead to a massive surge in mail voting. Trump has repeatedly railed against mail balloting, which he says without offering proof will lead to widespread voter fraud.

(By: Sandy Eller) As the uncertainty regarding COVID-19 continues to swirl amid an uptick in confirmed cases in recent days and fear of a second wave of the virus and schools reopening, Rav Elya Brudny, Rosh Yeshiva of the Mirrer Yeshiva, delivered a strong directive as to the need to remain vigilant about masks and personal safety as the pandemic continues. Speaking at an August 30th event hosted by Relief Resources, the leading Orthodox mental health referral agency, Rabbi Brudny addressed the need to send a clear chinuch message to our children by observing the Torah commandment of shielding ourselves from danger, and complying with laws even when doing so may seem inconvenient, as we are a nation of rule followers. “Conceptually we’re mask wearers,” said Rabbi Brudny, adding.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday complained that her caught-on-video visit to a San Francisco salon that was shuttered because of coronavirus regulations was a “setup” — and the owners should apologize to her. “It was clearly a setup. I take responsibility for falling for a setup by a neighborhood salon that I’ve gone to for years. And that’s, that’s really what it is,” Pelosi told reporters at an event in San Francisco. “I think that they owe, that this salon, owes me an apology for setting me up,” the powerful California Democrat said. Fox News first reported Pelosi’s visit to the salon and obtained security footage, which showed her walking through the studio with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose.

President Trump slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday for “constantly lecturing everyone else” after she visited a San Francisco hair salon earlier this week, despite local ordinances keeping salons closed amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fox News first reported Pelosi’s visit to the salon and obtained security footage, which showed her walking through the studio with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose. The stylist doing her hair can be seen following her wearing a black face mask. Salons in San Francisco had been closed since March and were only notified they could reopen on Sept. 1 for outdoor hairstyling services only. The Beauty Parlor owner must really dislike Crazy Nancy Pelosi. Turning her in, on tape, is a really big deal.
