A massive fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon at a factory in central Jerusalem. A large number of firefighting forces are working in the area in an attempt to quell the flames. Due to the fear that the fire will spread, new mothers and their babies were evacuated from the nearby Bikur Cholim Hospital as well as the residents of a hostel next to the factory. Streets near the site of the fire have been closed to traffic. The factory, which is owned by Chareidim, has apparently been completely destroyed by the fire. Ynet reported that one patient gave birth outside the hospital to a premature baby during the evacuation. Baruch Hashem, the mother and baby are both in good condition. (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)
