BMG Opens its Doors and Calls on Broader Community to Learn in its Botei Medrash as a Zechus

In a poignant and heartfelt response to the ongoing situation in Eretz Yisroel, the roshei yeshiva of Lakewood’s Beth Medrash Govoha have issued a clarion call to the Adirei Hatorah – the esteemed yungeleit – and the broader community, invoking the power Torah, tefillah and teshuvah as a zechus for acheinu Bnei Yisroel in Eretz Yisrael and those valiantly fighting on the front lines.

The roshei yeshiva have asked the Adirei Hatorah to gather daily for a special morning seder, a call to be mehazeik in limud haTorah at this crucial time. Thought the zeman has not started, thousands of bnei Torah will converge on the yeshiva‘s various botei medrash, commencing their day by learning first seder within the hallowed halls of the yeshiva.

Tonight, Monday evening, an atzeres tefillah will be held in all the botei medrash of the yeshiva at 9 p.m. They roshei yeshiva have called upon all shuls to convene atzeres tefillah gatherings as well, each kehillah in their own botei knesses, reciting the designated kappitlach of Tehillim of 13, 20, 79, 83, 121, 130, and 142.

The yeshiva has set up a call-in number for the atzeres tefillah. Dial 1.857.347.0100 and enter 125005.

The second kol koreh extends an invitation to the broader public, beckoning men and boys to come and learn in the botei medrash of Beth Medrash Govoha as a zechus for acheinu Bnei Yisroel. The doors of the botei medrash will be open all day and night, allowing members of the community to immerse themselves in limud haTorah.

The roshei yeshiva stress that in these trying times, as the tumultuous winds of uncertainty sweep across Eretz Yisroel and the wider world, we are to turn to our most potent weapons, Torah and tefillah. Together, as one cohesive community, we plead with the Ribono Shel Olam to have mercy on us and on Yidden across the world.
