The World Central Kitchen food aid organization has fired dozens of it’s Palestinian employees in the Gaza strip for “security reasons,” two WCK workers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.
According to the pair of sources, an Israeli assessment of the workers indicated they were affiliated with terror organizations, prompting the WCK to fire them.
In an internal message to employees, WCK did confirm it “made changes” after Israel demanded an investigation into its hiring practices in Gaza.
However, the organization claimed: “This should not be taken as a conclusion by WCK that the individuals are affiliated with any terror organization.”
Rather, a WCK spokesperson said it made these personnel moves “to protect our team and our operations,” confirming 62 employees were let go.
An Israeli security official told Reuters that Israel demanded an investigation into WCK employees after it identified a WCK employee named Ahed Azmi Qdeih as a terrorist who took part in the  October 7 attacks.

According to the official, an Israeli security review found that 62 WCK employees had “affiliations and direct connections” with terrorist groups.
