Rav Boruch Mordechai ben Hinda Malka Mizrachi, is still hospitalized after undergoing medical treatment to help his breathing.
In a message of chizuk, Rabbi Yisrael Choder, one of his close talmidim, conveyed the significance of strengthening tefillos for his refuah at this time.
“As you know, there was a great miracle, and as the doctors themselves said: the fact that the rosh yeshiva is with us, and awaits people to learn with him, is a tremendous miracle. The doctors have told us that when they anesthetized him, they were uncertain if he would recover naturally, but they recognized that there is something different here. The tefillos for his healing are exceptional… Even a non-religious doctor would emphatically attest to this, as he witnesses miracles…
When others spoke in learning with him, the rosh yeshiva communicated by gesturing twice, but he still cannot talk.
“He yearns to speak,” said Rabbi Choder, “but he cannot…. This is causing him tremendous anguish.”
Rabbi Choder said, “Undoubtedly, we now bear the responsibility to fortify our focus on speech, to enhance how we express ourselves, what we articulate… That will be a zechus for him.”
