Two yeshiva bochurim were tragically killed in a horrific car crash on Route 6 as they returned from the tziyon of Rabi Shimon bar Yochai in Meron overnight Sunday. The two bochurim were traveling in a vehicle along with four others when the driver lost control and crashed into a guardrail, causing severe injuries to all the passengers, including one who was ejected from the car. Paramedics who rushed to the scene attempted resuscitation efforts on the two most critically injured victims, aged 14 and 17, but were sadly unsuccessful. The niftarim were later identified as Nosson Neta Rosenbaum, z’l, 17, a talmid of Yeshivas Toras Chaim Belz in Elad and a resident of Bnei Brak, and Chaim Werthheimer, z’l, 14, a talmid of Yeshivas Machnovka Belz in Elad and resident of Elad. Magen David Adom EMTs said: “The two teens suffered severe multiple injuries. We tried to save them… but unfortunately, they showed no signs of life and within a short time we were forced to declare them dead.” The four other passengers were transported to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Chadera for treatment.
