In a long report released today by the Israeli Comptroller, the Comptroller demands the Ministry of Health take enforcement action to stop the publication of United Hatzalah’s hotline as an emergency number.
The Comptroller points out that all emergency calls should be called in directly to MDA’s 101 hotline, which dispatches both MDA and United Hatzalah volunteers.
The Comptroller points out that advertising the United Hatzalah hotline as an emergency number “May confuse the public that the response provided is equal to the response provided when calling 101 and may delay the care of the patient”.

Although children are not scheduled to get their first measles vaccine until they are a year old, doctors have begun recommending parents give it to their children sooner due to the recent spread of the disease, with some doctors giving the OK for children as young as six months old.
“There’s no dangers in getting the shot early,” Dr. Kevin Ellis, a pediatrician at Huntsville Pediatric Associates, said.
However, the child would still be susceptible to all the vaccine’s side-effects. Dr. Ellis says the first measles vaccine is normally given to children at 12 months because they are old enough to build up strong immunity.

Matzav.com was told that the child was supposed to have been dropped off at her day care this morning and was mistakenly forgotten in the vehicle instead.
The baby was treated by Hatzolah of Lakewood paramedics and then transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus on River Avenue, where her petirah was confirmed.

The United States may review its ties with countries it deems as being anti-Israel after what a US envoy said on Sunday was a shift in policy toward equating anti-Zionism with antisemitism.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a March speech that anti-Zionism — opposition to Israel’s existence as a homeland for the Jewish people — was a form of antisemitism, or hostility toward Jews, that was on the rise worldwide and that Washington would “fight it relentlessly.”
The State Department’s special envoy for monitoring and combating antisemitism, Elan Carr, said this US position could spell reviews of ties with foreign governments or leaders.

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee said they will vote Wednesday on whether to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress after Barr missed a deadline to produce a complete version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
The panel had set a deadline of 9 a.m. Monday for Barr to provide the unredacted version of Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. It announced the planned vote in a statement Monday.

Rep. Ilhan Omar appeared to take the side of Hamas and Islamic Jihad Sunday night after terrorists fired hundreds of rockets at civilian targets in Israel by Hamas this weekend.
“How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends? The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace,” the Minnesota Democrat said in a tweet Sunday night.
Omar’s comments follow terrorists firing over 600 rockets into southern Israel, killing at least four Israelis. Israeli counterstrikes at what the Israel Defense Forces said were military targets killed at least a dozen Palestinians.

Former President Trump lawyer Michael Cohen is scheduled to check in Monday at a federal lockup in Otisville, NY, where he will begin serving a three-year stint for crimes including campaign finance violations tied to hush-money payments made on Trump’s behalf.
Cohen, 53, who once vowed to “take a bullet” for Trump, whom he now calls a “con man,” will step inside the medium-security Federal Correctional Facility Otisville, in the Catskills about 70 miles from Manhattan, by his 2 p.m. deadline.
Cohen will be housed in dorm-like accommodations at the camp, which prison consultants say has become a destination for Jewish inmates due to its proximity to the Big Apple’s Jewish and upstate’s Orthodox Jewish enclaves.
