IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says the Israeli Air Force struck Hezbollah’s main command center under civilian buildings in the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut.

According to security sources in Lebanon, Israeli forces launched a powerful strike on an area commonly used by senior Hezbollah leaders. The attack is reported to be the most intense in Beirut in nearly a year of ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV reported that four buildings were destroyed, resulting in numerous casualties. Video footage broadcast by the network showed at least one large, smoking crater at the impact site.

Today, Hezbollah launched more than 175 rockets towards northern Israel, primarily targeting the Upper Galilee region. The barrage has led to several brush fires throughout the area, causing significant disruption and damage.

Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant provided an update on Israel’s military operations targeting Hezbollah, stating that efforts continue to dismantle the terror group’s capabilities and secure Israel’s northern communities. “I met today with the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Head of the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate, and Head of the IDF’s Operations Directorate to approve planned operations in the northern arena,” Gallant said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu authorized the Beirut strike while aboard the Wings of Zion aircraft, according to his office. Sources on the flight reported that the plane’s communication systems functioned flawlessly throughout.
