Linda Sun, a former deputy chief of staff to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, was arrested by the FBI Tuesday morning. Her husband, Chris Hu, was also arrested. The FBI confirmed the arrests but declined to comment. The pair are expected to appear in federal court in Brooklyn this afternoon.

IDF troops uncovered and destroyed a Hamas attack tunnel over a kilometer long in the Beit Lahia area. The tunnel, identified through intelligence, contained weapons, electrical systems, and a transportation rail.

The IDF has confirmed that its fighter jets conducted airstrikes on approximately 10 Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon earlier this evening. The targeted launchers, located in Zibqin and Chihine, were deemed a threat to Israeli civilian populations. In response to the Israeli strike, several rockets were fired from launchers near the border community of Arab al-Aramshe. According to the IDF, some of the incoming rockets were intercepted, while others impacted open areas, causing no injuries. Vans carrying members of the press that were part of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s motorcade were involved in a crash on Monday afternoon. Journalists traveling with the vice presidential nominee said the crash happened shortly before 1 p.m. on Interstate 794. Walz was on his way to an event celebrating Labor Day in Milwaukee. A staff member in one of the press vans appeared to have a broken arm and was being treated by medics, according to the journalists, who said they were violently thrown forward as one van slammed into another in front of it and then was hit from behind. Walz’s vehicle was not involved in the crash, according to the campaign.

Hamas has issued a stark warning, stating that Israeli hostages held in Gaza will return “inside coffins” if Israel attempts to free them through military action rather than negotiating a deal.
