The Israeli military carried out airstrikes early this morning, hitting key Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including a command center used by the group’s intelligence division and an underground facility for weapons production in Beirut. Prior to the strikes, the IDF alerted nearby civilians to evacuate the area to avoid casualties. In addition, separate airstrikes in southern Lebanon eliminated three high-ranking Hezbollah members. The individuals were identified by the IDF as al-Hajj Abbas Salameh, a senior figure in the group’s Southern Front; Reda Abbas Ouda, a specialist in communications; and Ahmed Ali Hussain, who oversaw weapons manufacturing for the organization.

The charge that Israel deliberately attacked UNIFIL personnel is completely false. It’s exactly the opposite. Israel repeatedly asked UNIFIL to get out of harm’s way. It repeatedly asked them to temporarily leave the combat zone, which is right next to Israel’s border with Lebanon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the IDF Golani Brigade Training Base on Monday, following a Hezbollah UAV strike that killed four soldiers and injured dozens. During his visit, Netanyahu commended the soldiers and medics for their bravery, stating, “We will continue to strike Hezbollah without mercy everywhere in Lebanon – including Beirut.” He expressed condolences to the families of the fallen and praised the wounded soldiers, calling them the “generation of victory” in Israel’s fight against Iran’s axis of evil. Netanyahu emphasized that despite the painful losses, Israel’s military operations would continue until their objectives are achieved.

Following precise IDF and Shin Bet intelligence, the IAF conducted a strike during the month of September 2024 and eliminated Samer Abu Daqqa, Head of Hamas’ Aerial Unit. Abu Daqqa replaced the previous Head of Hamas’ Aerial Unit, who was eliminated in October 2023. Samer Abu Daqqa was responsible for carrying out numerous terror attacks, including launching drones and UAVs towards Israel and IDF troops. He served as a significant source of knowledge in Hamas’ Aerial Unit and played a central role in its establishment. Daqqa was among those responsible for the paraglider and UAV infiltrations into Israel on October 7th.

Alarms sound in Tel Aviv and in over 180 communities across central Israel, in what the IDF says is a rocket barrage from Lebanon. No reports have been received of casualties apart from calls of stress symptoms and injuries occurred whilst running to the protected areas.

Israeli residents in central Israel were seen taking cover alongside highways during a recent Red Alert warning. The alert signaled incoming rocket fire, prompting drivers and pedestrians to seek safety by the roadside as they waited for the threat to pass.

The IDF says that after sirens went off in central Israel, three rockets from Lebanon were detected crossing into Israeli territory. All threats were intercepted successfully, and no injuries have been reported. In response, Israeli Air Force jets struck the launcher responsible for firing the projectiles. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has released video footage showing a drone launch aimed at a “vital target” in northern Israel. The Israeli Air Force intercepted this drone, along with several others, earlier today.

President Biden and PM Netanyahu are nearing consensus on Israel’s upcoming retaliation against Iran, according to three U.S. and Israeli officials, Axios reports. During a Wednesday call, the Biden administration acknowledged Israel’s plan for a significant strike but expressed concerns that targeting certain sites could lead to a dangerous escalation of the regional conflict.
