Shendishov: A Spiritual Home for Every Yid!
It’s Friday night. The Tish of the Rebbe has been going on for many hours. The entire room is elevated to a different realm where the Kedusha of Shabbas permeates throughout and the materialistic world around is but an illusion.
But something is noticeably different here. The tish is an authentic Chasidsh one, but the gathered crowd includes Yidden of all backgrounds; baalei teshuva at their first tish yeshiva boys in their Shabbas attire, chasidim with tall shtreimlach and baalei batim in their suit and ties. This place is special. This is Shendishov, a place where every Yid is at home and the Rebbe’s radiant face illuminates the lives of all.

Excitement is building just a day prior to a visit to the United States of Rav Chaim Mordechai Ausband, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Ateres Shlomo in Eretz Yisroel.
Rav Ausband is a renowned maggid shiur and darshan, who has inspired thousands of talmidim during his decades as a marbitz Torah. A dynamic speaker, Rav Ausband will be delivering a special guest address at an urgent asifa this Wednesday, June 26, held as part of the current global “Connecting to Greatness” campaign to save Yeshiva Kiryas Melech, the yeshiva led by Rav Shlomo Kanievsky where Rav Ausband was formerly a maggid shiur. Rav Ausband has never left Eretz Yisroel during the zman,  but has made a rare exception due to the severe crisis that Yeshivos Kiryas Melech and Tiferes Tzion are facing.

Thousands of Chassidim in Boyan are expected to attend the the chasuna of the Rebbe’s youngest daughter to Chosson Meir Bornstein, son of the Admor of Sochachav.
Thousands of Hasidim will arrive by bus from around the country to the huge compound, which was built for the occasion in Sdeh Yoav. The women section will be located in three different areas, with the division taking place according to age.
The kabbolas ponim will be held at 5:00, followed by the chuppa at 6:30. After the chuppah, the chassidim will daven Maariv followed by simchas chosson v’kallah.

A Bais Din signed a proclamation against those antagonizing Rav Eliezer Berland and his followers, who go by the name Shuvu Bonim, saying that all the provocations should stop.
The declaration was signed by several Gedolim, among them Rav Moshe Shternbuch and Rav Yitchok Tuvia Weiss, and says that all tactics against Shuvu Bonim, including smear campaigns and name calling should be put to an end at once.
The letter says that anyone with complaints against Rav Berland or his group of followers should bring their grievances to Bais Din instead.

Today, June 25th, is Primary Election Day across New York State. Voters throughout the state will be selecting the party nominees for many offices, including Districts Attorney in Queens and Rockland County, as well as some important judicial and legislative elections. Agudath Israel urges all in our community to exercise this most important right and vote.
Voter turnout in primaries is generally low. That makes each vote count even more than it ordinarily does. There are significant issues facing our community and it is vital that our voices be heard. Decisions at the highest level of government are often based upon which communities come out to vote.

Following a bungled investigation into a case which shocked the nation, the Israel Defense Forces’ military counsel announced Tuesday morning that charges against 44-year-old Palestinian Authority resident Mahmoud Katusa were being dropped.
“The evidentiary basis for the indictment does not at this time amount to a ‘reasonable chance of conviction.’ Therefore, by law, the criminal process cannot continue, the indictment must be withdrawn and Katusa released from custody,” military prosecutor Sharon Afek said in a statement.
The announcement came almost two months after Katusa, a maintenance custodian at an unnamed girls’ school in Samaria, was arrested.
