A Tel Aviv resident named Roi Yifrach has been charged with the theft of military and police weaponry amidst the chaos following the October 7 Hamas attacks in southern Israel.

Qatari mediators have told Israel that Hamas is tentatively open to recommencing negotiations for the release of hostages in exchange for a potential truce in the Gaza Strip, possibly lasting up to a month.

The US Central Command on Sunday said that its military helicopters opened fire on four Houthi speedboats, sinking three of them with no survivors. The fourth boat fled the scene.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said during his weekly press conference on Motzei Shabbos that the war in Gaza will last many more months and will not stop until all of the operation’s goals are achieved – eradicating Hamas and bringing the hostages home. “We’re deepening our operations against Hamas,” Netanyahu said.

The IDF on Motzei Shabbos announced the deaths of two more soldiers killed in Gaza, increasing the death toll of the ground operation to 170 and the death toll since October 7th to 504. The soldiers were identified as: Master Sgt. (res.) Constantine Sushko, H’yd, 30, of Tel Aviv of the Combat Engineering Corps’ 7086th Battalion.

In an op-ed published by The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett revealed that during his tenure in 2022, he directed Israel’s security forces to carry out two significant strikes against Iran.

The IDF on Thursday reported the recovery of more than 65 million digital files and half a million physical documents, which have been instrumental in combating Hamas and identifying its infrastructure.

The Shin Bet received intelligence in the summer from a human source in the Gaza Strip that Hamas had plans to attack Israel in the week after Yom Kippur, Channel 12 reported on Wednesday evening.

The IDF says they have launched a series of “widespread” comprehensive strikes in response to Hezbollah’s attacks on northern Israel. These strikes were concentrated in southern Lebanon, particularly in the regions of Ayta ash Shab and Ramyeh, among other locations.

A report published by the French newspaper Le Figaro on Wednesday revealed that only three Hamas leaders, Mohammed Deif, Yahya Sinwar, and his brother Muhammad Sinwar, were aware of the exact details and date and time of the Hamas assault on Israel.
