In the latest Morning Consult Poll, it was found that former President Donald Trump is not only viewed as more electable than Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis by Republican primary voters, but he also enjoys a 37-point lead – his largest ever – in the primary race. The poll found Trump with support from 58% of Republican primary voters, whereas DeSantis got just 21% support. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning about the “high risk of biological hazard” after a central public laboratory with samples of measles and polio was seized by one of the sides fighting in the conflict in Sudan. The situation has been described as “extremely, extremely dangerous”. Dr. Nima Saeed Abid, the WHO Representative in Sudan, spoke to reporters in Geneva, Switzerland via video link, raising concerns about the occupation of the central public health lab. “There is a huge biological risk associated with the occupation of the central public health lab… by one of the fighting parties,” Abid said. This development is a serious setback for the public health system in Sudan, where measles and polio are still major concerns.

President Joe Biden has faced criticism from social media users after he repeated the line “There’s no such thing as someone else’s child” during a White House event on Monday. The President spoke at the National and State Teacher of the Year Celebration and praised the award recipient, Oklahoma high school teacher Rebekah Peterson. Biden quoted Peterson, agreeing with her statement that “there is no such thing as someone else’s child.” During his speech, Biden said, “Rebecca put a teacher’s creed into words when she said, ‘There is no such thing as someone else’s child.’ No such thing as someone else’s child. Our nation’s children are all our children.” The President added, “As I often say, you teachers hold the kite strings to lift our national ambitions aloft. You really do.

Greg Kelly of Newsmax interviewed Former President Trump after the news broke on Monday that Tucker was no longer at Fox News: “So, Tucker Carlson was sitting here two weeks ago interviewing you,” Kelly said, referring to the softball interview Carlson conducted with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. “He’s gone. What do you make of that?” Well, I’m shocked. I’m surprised. He’s a very good person and a very good man, and very talented as you know. And he had very high ratings. So, we’re just learning about it almost as we speak. You and I just said, “Wow, that was something, that’s a big one.” I don’t know if it was voluntary, or was it, somebody fired? But I think Tucker’s been terrific. He’s been – especially over the last year or so – he’s been terrific to me.

A resident of Tel Aviv who submitted a request to the municipality to hold a Yom Ha’atzmaut tefillah on Rothschild Boulevard received a response that the tefillah will only be approved if no mechitzos between men and women are used. The response came despite the fact that Arabs held an Eid al-Fitr prayer in Tel Aviv on Friday with complete separation between men and women, including physical barriers. Tel Aviv Deputy Mayor Reuven Lediansky clarified the decision on his Facebook page, writing: “There won’t be a tefillah with mechitzot between men and women in Tel Aviv. Not on Rothschild Boulevard and not anywhere else in the public space. Yesterday an application was received by the Tel Aviv Municipality to hold a tefillah on Yom Ha’atzmauet with mechitzot between men and women.

President Joe Biden on Tuesday formally announced that he is running for reelection in 2024, asking voters to give him more time to “finish the job” he began when he was sworn in to office and to set aside their concerns about extending the run of America’s oldest president for another four years. Biden, who would be 86 at the end of a second term, is betting his first-term legislative achievements and more than 50 years of experience in Washington will count for more than concerns over his age. He faces a smooth path to winning his party’s nomination, with no serious Democratic rivals. But he’s still set for a hard-fought struggle to retain the presidency in a bitterly divided nation.

Hundreds of doctors signed a letter condemning the Israeli Medical Association (IMA) and demanding that it cease all political discourse, particularly regarding the judicial reform plan. The letter follows a previous petition to the IMA immediately after the launch of a healthcare strike in March in protest of the government’s judicial reform plan, which was later condemned as being illegal. “We demand an immediate cessation of all political discourse,” the letter, addressed to IMA chairman Tzion Chagai, states. “Every person has a right, and even a duty, to express his position regarding the issues on the agenda.
