The man who is accused of torching a Flatbush home on Thursday was grinning from ear to ear in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Sunday night.
As YWN reported just after Shabbos, Matthew Karlefsky, 41, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of attempted murder in the inferno that sent 12 people to the hospital – including a 6-week-old infant.

President Trump was apparently so perturbed by his chief of staff coughing during an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in the Oval Office last week, that he asked his staffer to leave the room, according to a transcript from the station.

The battle to contain the worst U.S. measles outbreak in 27 years has a new front: summer camp.

Looking closer, I saw a sight not commonly seen.

The home was an inferno in seconds. By the time the FDNy arrived at the scene at Thursday’s arson fire in Flatbush, one home was fully engulfed in flames.
We now know that an accelerant was used, as the NYPD and Fire Marshals made an arrest on Saturday night of Matthew Karelefsky, of McKeesport, Pa.

The head of the Dir Qadis Council, Radi Nasser, has been fired from his position in the Fatah party as well as being suspended from the Palestinian educational system after chareidim were seen at the wedding of his son, the daily Haaretz reports.

New York City police say a 29-year-old officer died Friday in the department’s third suicide in less than two weeks.
Police say he shot himself in the head around 3:45 p.m.

Police are looking for a man that inappropriately touched a woman while walking on a Boro Park street earlier this week.
The NYPD says that on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 7:49AM, a 24-year-old female was walking in the vicinity of 54th Street near 20th Ave when an unidentified male inappropriately touched her.
