A Saudi YouTube channel uploaded a children’s video earlier this month depicting the Quranic story of Jews being transformed by Allah into apes for violating Shabbat.
In the animated video, uploaded to the Ibtikar Media channel on Oct. 9, the narrator explains how a group of Jews in a seaside village employed “trickery and deception” to circumvent a divine prohibition against fishing on the day of rest.
Allah, she continues, tested the Jews by sending them great numbers of fish only on the Sabbath.
“So they employed a trick. They would cast their nets on Friday, the fish would get trapped in the nets on Saturday, and they would collect them on Sunday.”

Swedish police are investigating how the words “the Holocaust was a scam” were projected onto the main shul in Malmö while the city was holding an international forum on combating antisemitism.
The projection was seen on the Synagogue of Malmö and on other buildings in cities across southern Sweden on Wednesday night, the day of the Malmö International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism.
Police are handling the case as a hate crime, the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter reported.

Gelgi was born with Weaver syndrome, which causes accelerated growth and is marked by distinguished facial features and a varying degree of intellectual disability, according to MedlinePlus.
The condition forces Gelgi to use a wheelchair most of the time, but she can walk for short stints with the assistance of a walker, according to the Guinness Book of World Records .
