A 24-year-old woman in Turkey, who stands at 7 feet, 0.7 inches tall, was named the tallest living woman on Earth by Guinness World Records.
Rumeysa Gelgi, who was previously named the world’s tallest teenager in 2014 when she was 18 years old, was remeasured and now has the crown for tallest woman.
Gelgi was born with Weaver syndrome, which causes accelerated growth and is marked by distinguished facial features and a varying degree of intellectual disability, according to MedlinePlus.
The condition forces Gelgi to use a wheelchair most of the time, but she can walk for short stints with the assistance of a walker, according to the Guinness Book of World Records .
