Former President Trump in an interview late Tuesday said that he is hopeful that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, runs for the White House in 2024, saying her candidacy might compel him to jump into the race as well.
“Mr. president, what was your take on Meghan Markle now saying — meeting with Democratic operatives, she may want to run for president?” Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Trump during a wide-ranging interview.
“I hope that happens,” Trump responded. “If that happened, I think I’d have an even stronger feeling toward running,” adding he’s “not a fan” of Meghan.

Israeli military strikes were reportedly launched at targets located near the Syrian capital of Damascus, state media said late Tuesday night.
It remains unclear if any casualties resulted in the reported attack.
Israel maintains a policy of ambiguity regarding regional military operations and has not commented on the development.
According to previous foreign media reports, the targets are likely linked to the Iranian military or Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah.

President Biden is reportedly planning the first major hike in federal taxes in almost 30 years to fund the economic program set to follow the recently approved $1.9 trillion pandemic stimulus package.
Unidentified sources told Bloomberg that the increases will reflect the promises Biden made during his 2020 campaign.
The planned increases reportedly include: raising the corporate tax from 21 percent to 28 percent; increasing the income tax rate on people making more than $400,000; expanding the estate tax; paring back tax preferences on pass-through businesses such as limited-liability companies; and setting up a higher capital gains tax rate for individuals making at least $1 million.

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday urged retired pro-football running back Herschel Walker to run for the U.S. Senate next year in Georgia.
Walker, 59, was born in the Peach State and played college football at the University of Georgia. He would be an instant favorite for the Republican nomination.
Trump said in an emailed statement from his Save America PAC: “Wouldn’t it be fantastic if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia? He would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, and in the NFL. He is also a GREAT person. Run Herschel, run!”

U.S. border agents detained nearly 100,000 migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in February, according to two people familiar with preliminary figures, the highest monthly total since a major border surge in mid-2019.
The figures, which have not been previously reported, show the scope of a growing migrant influx at the southwest border as U.S. President Joe Biden, a Democrat, seeks to roll back some of the restrictive policies of former President Donald Trump, a Republican. February was Biden’s first full month in office.
Last month’s total would represent the highest tally for the month of February since 2006.

israel’s Defense Minister and Alternate Priem Minister Benny Gantz told Kan public broadcaster on Saturday he believed Iran was likely behind the recent attack on an Israeli-owned vessel.
The MV Helios Ray, a vehicle carrier, was making its way from the Saudi port of Dammam to Singapore when the blast occurred on Thursday, according to the Dryad Global maritime security group.
“The location of the vessel, relatively close to Iran at the time, raises the belief that Iran was responsible, but it must still be verified,” Gantz said.
“This is an initial assessment that takes into account the proximity (with Iran) and the context” in which the blast occurred, he explained, adding: “This is what I believe.”

International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors found uranium particles at two Iranian nuclear sites that Iran tried to block access to, according to a Friday report.
Iranian authorities had stonewalled the inspectors from reaching the sites for seven months before the inspection, and Iranian officials have failed to explain the presence of the uranium, the Reuters news agency reported, citing diplomats familiar with the UN agency’s work.
The inspections took place in August and September of 2020, the report said. The IAEA keeps its findings secret and only shared the details of the find with a few countries.
