Boehler emphasized Trump’s unwavering commitment, stating, “The president said he wants the hostages, and he will get them.”

The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen network, which has links to Hezbollah, reported this morning that Israeli tanks are now positioned around 20 kilometers from Damascus, the capital of Syria. Other sources confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have secured control over nine villages on the southern edge of Damascus, near the Lebanese border. Meanwhile, reports indicated that the IDF has carried out widespread airstrikes in the Damascus region. Earlier reports from Syrian media stated that Israeli jets targeted the Al-Shuairat military airport, located east of Homs, and Syrian army sites in the Raqqa and Al-Hasakah provinces.

The photo exhibit “Gaza, Palestine: A Crisis of Humanity, a Cry for Justice” in the lobby of United Nations headquarters in Manhattan includes images of demolished buildings, displaced civilians, maimed children and corpses. It mentions neither Hamas nor the terror group’s Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in southern Israel that launched the war upon which the exhibit focuses.
“This was written by the Palestinian mission to the United Nations and in this long, long text, you won’t find the word ‘Hamas’ in it,” Jonathan Harounoff, international spokesman for Israel’s mission to the global body, told JNS. “You won’t find any mention of the perpetrators of the attacks of Oct. 7, 2023.”

Luigi Mangione, the man accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was formally charged with murder late Monday, according to court documents. This came as his family publicly reacted to his arrest.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office charged the 26-year-old with first-degree murder and several weapons offenses, as seen in the court records. These charges came just hours after Mangione was arraigned in Pennsylvania on charges related to weapons possession and forgery.

Luigi Mangione, the man believed to be responsible for the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, expressed his frustration with the increasing influence of large healthcare insurance firms in a handwritten manifesto, where he accused these companies of prioritizing “immense profit” over the well-being of American citizens, according to sources.
The 26-year-old named UnitedHealthcare as one of the most prominent companies in the United States by market value and criticized the entire health insurance sector in a two-and-a-half-page document directed at “the Feds,” which investigators found after his arrest on Monday.

A senior Israeli official indicated on Monday evening, during a discussion with Ynet, that conditions may soon align for a possible agreement with Hamas to secure the release of hostages, suggesting it could happen within “a week or two.” Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister’s Office had urged caution, seeking to lower expectations. However, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar offered a more optimistic perspective, stating: “We’re not there yet, but I hope we’ll get there.”

A day and a half after the collapse of Bashar Assad’s regime in Syria, Russia remains tight-lipped about his location. Nevertheless, senior Russian officials have already informed local media that Assad arrived in Moscow, where President Vladimir Putin has reportedly granted him and his family political asylum.
When Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov was asked about the timing of Assad’s arrival in Russia, he stated he had no comment and added that, as of now, there are no plans for Putin to meet with Assad. If Assad and his family are indeed in Moscow, they will need to adjust to a new reality, striving to maintain the level of luxury they enjoyed during their years in Syria.

President Joe Biden lied from start to finish about his family’s influence-peddling racket. He recently issued a sweeping pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, contradicting his repeated assurances that he would not interfere. This pardon may be one of the most comprehensive in U.S. history, encompassing over a decade of corruption. While some have drawn parallels between this pardon and President Gerald Ford’s pardon of former President Richard Nixon, the comparison falls short. Ford aimed to heal a divided nation; Biden is shielding himself and his family from accountability.

Israeli warplanes have reportedly launched numerous attacks throughout Syria, including in its capital, Damascus, according to Syrian media outlets. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has indicated that more than 100 military targets were struck during these air raids, BBC reports.
Among the locations targeted was a research facility believed to be involved in chemical weapon production, as per local media.
Israel says that these strikes are part of efforts to prevent weapons from falling “into the hands of extremists” following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad’s government.
