France will adhere to its global obligations but understands the Rome Statute to demand “full cooperation” with the International Criminal Court and stipulate that “a state cannot be required to act inconsistently with its obligations under international law with respect to the immunities of states not party to the ICC,” the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs stated on Wednesday.

Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg is no stranger to the horrors of terrorism. In 5769 (2008), he tragically lost his son, Rabbi Gabi Holtzberg, along with his daughter-in-law, Rivky, who were killed in the Chabad House attack in Mumbai, India. Now, his grandson, Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, who was married to his granddaughter, Mrs. Rivky Kogan (nee Spielman), has been murdered by terrorists in the UAE.
In a radio interview with Kol Berama station, Rabbi Holtzberg spoke about the immense pain of losing his grandson, who he said reminded him so much of his late son Gabi, and reflected on his emotional response to this heartbreaking loss.
“We don’t question Hashem,” Rabbi Holtzberg began, “but this is a very difficult test. Every shliach should feel as if the Rebbe’s own son was killed.”

The Israeli Air Force eliminated a senior member of Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade sniper unit overnight Tuesday, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
Mumin al-Jabari operated out of a former school, directing and carrying out attacks against IDF troops, according to the military. A large amount of armaments was also stored in the facility, the IDF said.
The IAF struck the same structure in August, killing over 30 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists.

The National on Wednesday published what the Emirati state-owned newspaper said is the full text of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon that halted hostilities with the Hezbollah terrorist entity.
According to the Abu Dhabi-based broadsheet, the text was obtained from a senior official after it was discussed in a government meeting in Beirut on Wednesday.
Here is the text:
Announcement of a Cessation of Hostilities and Related Commitments on Enhanced Security Arrangements and Towards the Implementation of UNSCR 1701

Shortly before the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah went into effect early Wednesday morning, Israeli jets dropped about 100 bombs on a top-secret factory for producing mid-range rockets, according to Hebrew media reports.
The Israel Defense Forces had been aware of the facility in Janta, a city situated about 75 kilometers (46 miles) east of Beirut, for some time despite Hezbollah’s efforts to camouflage it, Channel 12 News reported on Wednesday.
The strike disabled Hezbollah’s capacity to produce mid-range rockets in Lebanon, according to the report.

The Chinese government has freed three Americans who were serving lengthy sentences for accusations of spying and drug-related crimes, just weeks before President-elect Donald Trump is set to assume office again.
The announcement of their release came from the Biden administration, though it remains unclear whether it was part of a larger negotiation with Beijing or a goodwill gesture following Trump’s recent threats. On Monday, Trump, 78, warned of imposing a new 10% tariff on China in response to the country’s role in fentanyl exports.
Mark Swidan, Kai Li, and John Leung had garnered significant support from high-profile Americans who argued the charges against them were baseless.

Hamas announced on Wednesday its willingness to engage in a cease-fire in Gaza, aligning this development with the implementation of a truce between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The group expressed readiness to work toward halting the 13-month conflict in Gaza, while its leadership acknowledged the significance of the Israel-Hezbollah agreement. In a public statement, Hamas declared: “We are committed to cooperating with any effort to reach a cease-fire in Gaza and we are interested in ending the aggression against our people,” while reiterating its specific demands for such a truce.

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke directly to her supporters on Tuesday — her first public statement since her concession speech following President-elect Donald Trump’s sweeping victory, Breitbart reports.
Kamala Harris was hosting a National Grassroots Call with her former running mate Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) that touched on a range of topics. One video released on social media featured Kamala pleading with her supporters to not feel powerless in the wake of defeat.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) expressed his support for the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
“I am very pleased to hear that a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has been reached regarding the conflict in Lebanon. Well done to all those involved in reaching this agreement,” Graham remarked.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Biden administration, with support from former President Trump, in making the ceasefire possible. “I appreciate the hard work of the Biden Administration, supported by President Trump, to make this ceasefire a reality,” he added.

On Tuesday, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson voiced criticism towards President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris after the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon. Johnson took to X to highlight his discontent with the Biden administration’s stance on military aid to Israel.
“While the Biden-Harris Administration celebrates this announcement, remember that it is STILL withholding weapons to Israel. This Administration put up roadblock after roadblock on Israel and dragged out this conflict. They repeatedly appeased Iran rather than show unequivocal support to our closest ally in the region. Israel’s military success has been in spite of the White House, not because of it,” Johnson stated.
