The Hamas terrorist organization has confirmed to Egyptian officials its commitment to continue with the hostage deal with Israel, including a sixth release of three captives set for Shabbos, according to Saudi outlet Asharq News.
This is reportedly contingent on Israel supplying caravans, tents, fuel, heavy equipment, medicines and hospital renovation materials to Gaza.
Egyptian sources previously informed Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Hamas agreed with Egyptian mediators to continue the hostage release arrangement in exchange for these supplies, which were expected to enter Gaza on Thursday.
However, Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri said on Al Jazeera that while Hamas is committed to the agreed schedule, not all Israeli hostages would be released on Shabbos.

A driver drove a car into a union demonstration in central Munich on Thursday, injuring at least 28 people including children, authorities said. Officials said it was believed to be an attack. The suspect, an Afghan asylum-seeker, was arrested. The incident follows a series of attacks involving immigrants in recent months that have pushed migration to the forefront of the campaign for Germany’s Feb. 23 election. Participants in a demonstration by the service workers’ union ver.di were walking along a street at about 10:30 a.m. when the car overtook a police vehicle following the gathering, accelerated and plowed into the back of the group, police said. Officers arrested the suspect after firing a shot at the car, deputy police chief Christian Huber said.

The White House acknowledged that President Donald Trump and King Abdullah II of Jordan have differing opinions regarding Trump’s proposal to relocate Gazans as part of a broader US strategy for the region.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the media, confirming that while King Abdullah opposes the relocation idea, Trump continues to advocate for moving Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries, including Jordan.
“The king would prefer that the Palestinians stay in place with the additional land to be used for new development, which would greatly create jobs at levels never seen before. The president feels it would be much better and more majestic if these Palestinians could be moved to safer areas,” Leavitt explained.

North Korea is demolishing a South Korea-built property that had been used to host reunions of families separated during the 1950-53 Korean War, the South’s government said Thursday, as it continues to eliminate symbols of engagement between the war-divided rivals. Relations between the Koreas are at their worst in years, with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un continuing to flaunt his expanding nuclear weapons program and declaring to abandon long-standing goals of inter-Korean reconciliation, while describing the South as a permanent enemy. The 12-story building at the North’s scenic Diamond Mountain resort, which has 206 rooms and banquet facilities for hosting meetings, had been used for family reunions since 2009.

Gadi Mozes, 81, who was recently released from Gaza after being held hostage, faced mistreatment during his captivity and later learned through the news that the terrorists had lied to him about his partner, Efrat Katz, and her death.
As reported by Ynet on Wednesday, Mozes, who rarely had access to the news, would listen when he could to try to piece together what had happened during the October 7, 2023 attack. Through these broadcasts, he found out the truth about Katz’s death, something the terrorists had concealed. “He realized he couldn’t believe anything they said,” his daughter-in-law, Einav, explained.

President Donald Trump’s newly installed attorney general, Pam Bondi, went after New York leaders Wednesday over the state’s immigration policies, announcing a lawsuit in the latest effort by the Republican administration to carry out the president’s hardline immigration campaign pledges. In her first press conference since taking office last week, Bondi accused New York leaders of prioritizing “illegal aliens over American citizens.” Standing in front of federal agents who have been tasked with helping in Trump’s immigration crackdown, she echoed the president’s rhetoric as she vowed the Justice Department would take on communities that thwart federal immigration efforts. Authorities in public hospitals in Israel have expressed outrage over the phenomenon of Nukhba terrorists being treated in Israeli hospitals, even in cases that are not life-threatening or urgent, Yisrael Hayom reported on Thursday. Dr. Ilya Chorny, the head of the anesthesia department at the Rabin Medical Center, told Yisrael Hayom: “I encountered a case of a terrorist with a leg injury and there are two options – either amputate the leg, or perform a complex surgery involving vascular, nerve, and bone connections. His life in not in danger. The dilemma is whether to amputate his leg or to carry out a 20-hour operation to save his limb.” “Unfortunately, he is being treated in an ‘extra’ manner, like we did for Sinwar when he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.
