Qatar has reportedly issued a message to Hamas, informing the organization that it is no longer welcome within its borders, as reported by KAN on Friday through a source knowledgeable about the situation.
According to multiple sources, this decision has been unfolding over recent days, with three separate sources sharing insights with KAN. One of these sources indicated that the shift is a result of mounting pressure from the United States.
The report states that Qatar’s initial stance on hosting Hamas leaders was based on a strategy to aid in dialogue, particularly for negotiations related to hostages.
Additionally, Egyptian sources informed the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that direct discussions with top Hamas officials are still ongoing, with the most recent meeting occurring on November 5, coinciding with the U.S. elections.
