MK Ayman Odeh, leader of the Chadash-Ta’al party, commented today on the release of three hostages from Hamas captivity, drawing a comparison between them and the prisoners being freed as part of the agreement.
“I am happy about the release of the hostages and prisoners. Both peoples must be freed from the yoke of the occupation. We were all born free,” Odeh wrote on X.
In response, Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman criticized Odeh’s statement, accusing him of siding with Hamas. “Ayman Odeh once again proves that he is the Hamas spokesman in the Knesset. Anyone who compares our hostages to murderous terrorists should be sent to Gaza to be with them,” Lieberman posted.
“Anyone who rejoiced over the release of child-murdering terrorists belongs in prison, not in the Knesset,” wrote Culture Minister Miki Zohar.
“Comparing hostages who were snatched from their beds and held in harsh conditions to the scum of the earth…exposes the hypocrisy and disgustingness of those who make this sick comparison,” Likud MK Eliyahu Revivo posted on X.
