On Monday evening, two individuals were injured in a shooting near Ramat Gilad in Samaria. One of the victims is in critical condition, while the other remains in moderate condition.
Authorities are currently looking into the possibility that the shooting was an accident involving a police officer who had been sprayed with pepper spray during a confrontation with masked Jewish youths engaged in a riot.
Rescuers Without Borders stated that the shooting occurred on Highway 55, between Kedumim and Karnei Shomron, close to Ramat Gilad.
Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) are on-site, providing treatment to the two injured individuals.
In the meantime, the IDF reported that both IDF forces and Israel Border Police were deployed to the Al Funduq area after receiving reports of violent disturbances there.
Reports indicate that dozens of right-wing extremists were involved in the riots in Al Funduq, where they also set fire to several vehicles.
