Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu announced that Thursday would be an especially difficult day for the country, as the bodies of four hostages who had been killed while in Hamas captivity are set to be returned to Israel.
“Tomorrow will be a very difficult day for the State of Israel. A wrenching day, a day of grief. We are bringing home four of our beloved hostages, deceased,” Netanyahu stated.
“We embrace the families, and the heart of the entire nation is torn. My own heart is torn. So is yours. And all of the world’s heart should be torn, because this demonstrates who we are dealing with, what we are dealing with — with such monsters.”
“We are grieving, we are in pain, but we are also determined to ensure that such a thing never happens again,” the Prime Minister said.
The Hamas terrorist group has confirmed that three of the bodies being returned belong to Shiri Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, who were just four years old and nine months old when they were abducted on the morning of October 7, 2023. The identity of the fourth hostage whose remains will be returned has not been disclosed yet.
