Promises made. Promises kept.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem spoke with Sean Hannity on Monday night about the Trump Administration’s successful efforts to secure the border. Customs and Border Protection just recorded its lowest single-day apprehension numbers in 15 years.
“The message that the border is closed is being heard,” Hannity said.
“It’s fantastic news — and it’s because of President Trump,” Noem told Hannity. “We only had 200 encounters at the border when, under the Biden Administration, on our worst day, we saw up to 15-16,000 encounters. So, to have that kind of drop under President Trump is because of a change in policy.”
“Setting that record — the lowest number in 15 years — is just remarkable,” Noem continued. “And the wins just keep coming because we have a president who believes in this country and he listened to the American people and he actually brought the kind of success that this country was so desperate for.”
Hannity asked Noem about coordinating efforts with state-level law enforcement, the resistance of sanctuary cities, and more.
“The scales of justice have been balanced again,” Noem said. “We’re not putting illegals above Americans.”
Noem also provides an update on the ICE leaks.
