Hamas has decided to expedite the release of the bodies of four hostages by one day, and they will be returned to Israel overnight Wednesday without any formal ceremony, a senior Israeli official confirmed on Tuesday evening.
At the same time, Israel will begin the gradual release of the terrorists who were meant to be freed this past Saturday, but whose release was postponed by a decision from the political leadership.
On Tuesday evening, Hamas confirmed that an agreement had been reached to address the delay in releasing the Palestinian Arab terrorist prisoners, and it was updated that the prisoners will be released alongside the bodies of the hostages, as well as the release of Palestinian Arab women and minors.

Additionally, the “humiliation ceremonies” for the hostages who were freed caused public outrage, and as a result of these incidents, Israel postponed the release of the terrorists.
Since that time, mediators have been working to find a resolution, with one of the proposals being to release the hostages’ bodies before Thursday, the current scheduled release date.
