Zaher Jabareen, the leader of Hamas in Judea and Samaria, has asserted that the release of security prisoners from Israeli prisons as part of the ceasefire deal is a victory for the Palestinian resistance movement and the dreams of the Palestinian people.
Speaking at a commemoration event in Cairo for the freed prisoners, Jabareen pointed out that their release proves that Israel cannot break the resolve of the Palestinian people, despite the significant political and material support Israel receives.
Jabareen also claimed that Hamas had secured a “respectable” prisoner exchange deal and continues to pursue all means to ensure the release of every security prisoner, with the ultimate goal of “liberating Jerusalem from Israeli control.”
In a message to security prisoners still detained in Israeli prisons, Jabareen declared, “Your time of freedom is near, and Hamas will not rest until the last prisoner returns home with their head held high.”
He also stated, “The released prisoners will be the ones to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque after they return to their people and their Islamic nation, following years of steadfastness and defiance in the prisons of the Nazi fascist occupation.”
