Ruth & Matisyahu Shzigel chose to do something that most families dare not attempt: To raise 16 children. Like many to choose to live such a life, they did it with joy & seemingly endless energy. Mother Ruth raised and married off 5 of her children, and juggled the responsibilities of the other eleven with grace, as father Matisyahu worked hard as a teacher in a yeshiva gedola.  They were truly ‘living the dream,’ until Ruth was diagnosed with the rare disease cryoglobulinemia. Cryoglobulinemia attacks the internal organs, and has ultimately rendered the once energetic mother unable to leave her bed. She spends long stretches of time in the hospital, and Matisyahu has been left to raise their many children alone. While he is away at work the children fend for themselves.

President Donald Trump said Sunday that he has never been briefed about Russian efforts to help Bernie Sanders win the Democratic presidential nomination and he accused the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee of leaking election security information from a classified briefing. Sanders acknowledged on Friday that he was briefed last month by U.S. officials about Russian efforts to boost his chances to be the nominee against Trump in November. “I read where Russia is helping Bernie Sanders,” Trump told reporters before leaving on a trip to India. “Nobody said it to me. Nobody said it to me at all. Nobody briefed me about that at all. … They leaked it.” He accused Rep.

IDF forces opened fire at Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists who were placing a bomb on the security fence in the Khan Yunis area of the Gaza border on Sunday. “A short while ago, IDF forces identified two terrorists who approached the perimeter fence in the southern Gaza strip and placed an explosive device near it,” the IDF spokesperson stated. “The IDF forces…opened fire toward them. A hit was identified.” At least one terrorist was killed according to the IDF. Palestinian media reports said that both terrorists were killed. The terrorists were responsible for placing several other explosive devices on the border in the last few months, according to the IDF spokesperson. Shortly later the IDF opened fire again at PIJ terrorists who tried to drag the terrorists’ bodies away.

Palestinian terrorist fired some 20 rockets toward southern Israel on Sunday evening, the IDF said, hours after Israel said it killed a Palestinian terrorist who tried to place a bomb along the Israel-Gaza barrier fence. There was no immediate claim for the rocket fire, but it appeared to be meant to avenge the death of the terrorist. Palestinians were furious over the image of the man’s lifeless body dangling off the front of an Israeli bulldozer that had crossed into Gaza to retrieve it. There was also criticism in Gaza of the territory’s Hamas rulers for not responding. The Israeli military reported air raid sirens throughout southern Israel, and said at least 20 rockets had been fired.

Warning that China’s virus epidemic is “still grim and complex,” President Xi Jinping called Sunday for more efforts to stop the outbreak, revive industry and prevent the disease from disrupting spring planting of crops. Xi defended the ruling Communist Party’s response as “timely and effective” in a video conference with officials in charge of anti-disease work, according to the official Xinhua News Agency. Xi sounded a note of caution in the face of hopes abroad that the disease that has killed more than 2,400 people since December might be under control. He said the situation is at a “critical stage” and called on officials to “resolutely curb the spread of the epidemic.” “The current epidemic situation is still grim and complex,” Xinhua cited Xi as saying.
