YOU CAN HELP REBUILD YERUSHALAYIM NOW! WE MUST COMPLETE THIS SHUL BY DECEMBER OR EVERYTHING WILL BE LOST! When the Beis Hamikdash was destroyed it’s remnants were spread throughout the world. Wherever a broken piece of the Beis Hamikdash fell a Shul would eventually be built, and in the neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo one of those charred remnants fell. We have begun building a beautiful Shul, but due to financial difficulty we have fallen short of our ability to complete this holy building in one of Jerusalem’s bustling religious neighborhoods. “It was about 24 years ago that the esteemed Ramat Shlomo neighborhood was established. Unfortunately, no Shuls were built.

President Trump announced Sunday he wouldn’t be throwing out the opening pitch for the New York Yankees next month as he had planned, citing meetings and other work related to the U.S.’s COVID-19 outbreak. In a tweet, Trump said that he would plan to throw out the first pitch at a game later in the MLB’s season, which began last week. “Because of my strong focus on the China Virus, including scheduled meetings on Vaccines, our economy and much else, I won’t be able to be in New York to throw out the opening pitch for the @Yankees on August 15th. We will make it later in the season!” he tweeted.

The Argentine government made a decision last week to allow houses of worship to re-open but the Sephardi Chief Rabbi called on community members to continue davening at home except for those who have to say Kaddish for their parents, Kikar H’Shabbos reported. According to the report, the government’s decision was made on the background of intense pressure from Muslims in the country and not due to the sudden safety of gatherings in the beleaguered country, which like many other Latin-American countries, has been hard-hit by the coronavirus.  In response to the pressure, the government made a decision to allow gatherings of up to ten people in adherence with health regulations.

White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow said Sunday that the next round of coronavirus relief will include $1,200 stimulus payments to Americans and said the Trump administration will lengthen the federal eviction moratorium. “There’s a $1,200 check coming, that’s going to be part of the new package,” Kudlow said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.” The next coronavirus bill from Senate Republicans is set to provide a temporary and reduced extension of unemployment benefits, another round of stimulus checks, liability protection for businesses and funding to help schools restart. The legislation will also include $16 billion in new funds for testing and tax incentives to encourage companies to rehire employees. “The check is there, the reemployment bonus is there.

Nearly half of Americans whose families experienced a layoff during the coronavirus pandemic now believe those jobs are lost forever, a new poll shows, a sign of increasing pessimism that would translate into roughly 10 million workers needing to find a new employer, if not a new occupation. It’s a sharp change after initial optimism the jobs would return, as temporary cutbacks give way to shuttered businesses, bankruptcies and lasting payroll cuts. In April, 78% of those in households with a job loss thought they’d be temporary. Now, 47% think that lost job is definitely or probably not coming back, according to the latest poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
