Former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman told Breitbart News that the State Department was not pleased about his outspokenness as a loyal Jew. In an exclusive interview with Breitbart published on Monday, Friedman said: “The State Department has historically not been hospitable to the state of Israel or its supporters,” explaining that Israel is part of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, comprised of countries that are mostly hostile to Israel. “Israel is only one Jewish state and it finds itself in a bureau in the State Department with other countries that historically have been anti-Israel.” US diplomats serve in Middle Eastern countries and then after several years, they’re transferred to Israel.

The Color Red siren sounded in the southwestern region of Israel on Sunday evening when two rockets were fired by terrorists at Israel. The warning siren sounded in Kfar Maimon, Toshiya, and Kibbutz Alumim, which are all located in the Sedot Hanegev Regional council. Residents reported hearing explosions and the IDF confirmed that the rockets were launched at Israel. As of yet no reports of damage on injuries have been made. Last week, the Military wing of Hamas launched a barrage of rockets at the sea in order to warn Israel against annexing parts of Judea and Samaria. A spokesperson for Hamas told Arab media that “this is a warning and threat against stealing Palestinian lands.” He added that it is the organization’s goal to expel Israel from all of the Palestinian lands.

Channel 13 News aired a clip of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu comparing the actions of the Peleg Yerushalmi group to those of various cults around the world. One of the defining characteristics during the height of the coronavirus pandemic in Israel was the absolute refusal of certain elements within the Chareidi world to follow the instructions of Israel’s Health Ministry which included the prohibition against davening in a minyan. The refusal to adhere to the rules originally began among the extremist groups within the Chareidi world such as the Peleg Yerushalmi, but dragged the entire Chareidi public down with them, leading to a public discourse of hatred against the Chareidi public in the mainstream and social media.

Israel’s Health Ministry announced that another Israeli was confirmed to be carrying the Coronavirus. The 21st confirmed patient is a man in his 30s in Haifa who had recently returned from Austria on March 3rd. The ill man has been admitted to isolation. The 20th confirmed person was identified as an Israeli who recently visited Madrid. The Health Ministry publicized the recent whereabouts of the 18th person who was diagnosed to be carrying the virus and the flight details of other patients. The bus driver who has been identified as carrying Corona and is hospitalized in Poriya hospital in Tevaria continues to be in serious condition. The IDF aided dozens of tourist groups in leaving the Palestinian Authority and transporting them to Ben Gurion Airport so that they could return home.

Hamas operatives inside the Gaza Strip continue to launch balloon bombs at Israel in the hopes of igniting large fires and injuring civilians. Police sappers were called to various locations in the Gaza periphery to dismantle explosive devices attached to bombs that were launched at Israel. The bombs landed in Sderot, Kiryat Gat, and in other locations throughout the regional council district of Sha’ar HaNegev. The areas where the balloons landed was cordoned off by police until the bombs could be defused. In numerous instances, United Hatzalah provided medical security for the police officers often using ATVs, especially when the bombs landed in fields or deserted areas that were difficult to access by car.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu handed out additional ministerial positions to members of the Likud and Shas parties after he resigned this week from all of his ministerial positions. The resignation came as a result of the indictment letter that was handed down against Netanyahu by the Attorney General back in November. The new appointments included MK David Bitton as the new Minister of Agriculture, Deputy Foreign Minister Tzippi Hotovely was appointed Minister of the Diaspora, Deputy Minister Itzik Cohen from Shas was appointed the Minister of Construction and Housing, and Shasha Bitton who was a former MK with the Kulanu party will be appointed as the Social Services Minister.

Netanyahu Appoints Bennett As Defense Minister, Parties to UniteIn a dramatic move on Friday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu appointed New Right Party Leader Naftali Bennett to the position of Defense Minister in the interim cabinet that is currently presiding over the Knesset while attempts to form a new coalitions take place.

Right Wing Parties Take Steps Towards Unity, Just Not TogetherThe New Right Party led by Ayelet Shaked and the United Right party led by Rafi Peretz took a big step closer to creating a unified list on Sunday when Peretz announced that he would allow Shaked to lead a unified party should a final agreement between the two parties be reached.

900 Proposed Bills Submitted To Knesset On First DayIf anyone thought that the fact that there is no coalition yet will slow the 21st Knesset down from getting to work early, they were wrong. A total of some 900 new bills were proposed by members of the Knesset during the first two days of office.

 Hate Crime Reported In PA Village Of Ein YabrudYesh Din reported on hate crimes committed in the Palestinian village of Ein Yabrud, north of Ramallah.
