President Trump on Monday lashed out at former Vice President Joe Biden, ahead of the Democratic candidate hitting the trail for the first time since entering the 2020 presidential race.
“The Media (Fake News) is pushing Sleepy Joe hard. Funny, I’m only here because of Biden & Obama. They didn’t do the job and now you have Trump, who is getting it done – big time!” Trump wrote.
As Biden prepared to travel to the Keystone State, Trump suggested the economy would help keep the state in the Republican column next year.

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) on Monday rolled out his most ambitious policy proposal to date, calling for the United States to invest $5 trillion over the next decade in an effort to cut the country’s greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

As of Monday, Muslim women in Sri Lanka will no longer be allowed to wear face veils in public. All types of face coverings that could hide someone’s identity are now banned in the country under an emergency law.
The measure was imposed a week after more than 250 people were killed in a series of bombings that targeted churches and hotels.
The concern of further attacks comes amid warnings from both local officials and the U.S. Embassy that more attacks could be imminent.

The New York Times said Sunday that an anti-Semitic cartoon which appeared in its international edition this past Thursday was the work of a single editor who was working “without adequate oversight”.
“We have investigated how this happened and learned that, because of a faulty process, a single editor working without adequate oversight downloaded the syndicated cartoon and made the decision to include it on the Opinion page. The matter remains under review, and we are evaluating our internal processes and training. We anticipate significant changes.”
The statement included an apology for the cartoon, which the paper acknowledged was anti-Semitic and “unacceptable”.

Police investigating the fatal shooting rampage at the Chabad of Poway said on Sunday they believe the gunman acted alone and was not part of any organized group.
The suspect, 19-year-old John Earnest, has been booked into custody on one count of murder in the first degree and three counts of attempted murder in the first degree, San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said in a statement.
