Rabin Becomes 21st Hospital To Adopt Program
On Monday, United Hatzalah and Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikvah announced a partnership that will see the two entities work together to cut down the waiting time and the overload of patient intake in the medical center’s emergency room (E.R.). The partnership will see United Hatzalah EMTs volunteer for shifts assisting the E.R. medical staff with patient intake and checkups and provide some much-needed additional manpower to the E.R. In return, the volunteers receive additional exposure to medical cases and be able to utilize and hone their skills as an EMT in the E.R. gaining exposure to secondary and tertiary evaluations and learning procedures that are not done exclusively in E.R.s.

Members of Congress have called for the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate National Iranian American Council (NIAC), which is closely affiliated with the regime in Tehran, for possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which requires lobbyists and lobbying groups to disclose their activities on behalf of foreign governments.
The Washington Free Beacon first reported the development on Tuesday.
NIAC, which is registered as a U.S. nonprofit, was known for playing a crucial role in the Obama administration’s “echo chamber”—a term coined by Obama National Security Council official Ben Rhodes—in disseminating misleading information about the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov said on Tuesday that a prisoner-exchange deal for an Israeli-American woman being held in Russia on drug charges is not being considered.
“As far as I know, an exchange option is not being looked at,” he said, according to Russia’s Tass news agency.
“[Naama Issachar] was convicted on criminal charges,” he continued. “As for [Issachar’s] complaints with the European Court of Human Rights, it is the job of her attorneys. We can advise nothing about that. It is her right.”
The 27-year-old was arrested by Russian authorities after 9.5 grams of cannabis were found in her luggage during a layover in Moscow in April. She was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years for drug trafficking.

As shuls nationwide debate whether to have armed individuals in their building to prevent possible terror attacks, the Secure Community Network has issued new research and scenarios on who might carry arms in a congregation—from trained law-enforcement personnel to congregational members—and how to keep attendees safe.
Titled “Firearms and the Faithful: Approaches to Armed Security in Jewish Community,” the 24-page white paper was crafted by SCN—the security arm of the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. It was written in consultations with security experts, including federal and local law-enforcement officials.

The Israel Defense Forces struck a number of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip late on Wednesday in response to rockets fired earlier in the day.
“In response to the 4 rockets fired from Gaza at Israel earlier today, IDF fighter jets struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza, including a weapons manufacturing site & a military compound,” the IDF said on Twitter.
Earlier on Wednesday, four rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel. Two were intercepted by the Iron Dome air-defense system, while the other two hit open fields in the Sha’ar HaNegev region near Gaza.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad group reportedly fired the rockets. Nevertheless, Israel holds Hamas, the de facto governing body in Gaza, responsible for any rocket fire launched from the coastal territory.

A fake bomb was placed at the entrance of an Israeli-owned kosher restaurant in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
The “bomb,” a cardboard box with masking tape fastening wires and an electric trigger mechanism to the top, was found outside the HaCarmel restaurant in southern Amsterdam.
Restaurant owner Sami Bar-On told Israel Hayom that this was not the first time his establishment had been targeted.
“This was the fourth time in the past four years,” said Bar-On, “but we won’t give in to this behavior and we will raise our heads. I’m not scared, we aren’t scared, and we will continue operating with tremendous pride.”

Bar-On said he knew who was behind the attack.
