At a post-election rally in Maale HaChamisha, Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri spoke, using the opportunity to proclaim the party’s success in the election, now with eight seats. As he has done in the past, he exclaimed the pollsters haven’t a clue regarding voting reality at the polls on Election Day.

This year’s Boro Park Pesach food distribution event benefited more than 1,000 needy families equal to more than 6,500 vulnerable and insecure individuals. The Boro Park participants were supplied with Passover staple food items during the annual holiday food distribution organized by the Boro Park JCC in partnership with Met Council.

Inmates at the Otisville Correctional Facility in Upstate NY received some good news today, that the prison will once again allow visitors this Friday – just in time for Pesach.

A person is fighting for his life after being struck by a vehicle in Boro Park, Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at around 5:30PM at 17 Avenue and 47 Street, when an approximately 25-year-old male riding a bicycle was struck by a truck.

A 20-year-old man was seriously injured early Wednesday morning when he fell from a rooftop on Avtalyon Street in Elad.
At about 1:30 AM Wednesday morning, emergency responders were summoned to the Avtalyon Street home, and when MDA arrived on the scene, they found the man in serious condition.

Rav Yehuda Aryeh Roten Z”L, 57, a beloved melamed in Brachfeld, Modi’in Illit, collapsed in his home on Rabbi Akiva Street during the night and was R”L niftar.
As he was being transported his condition took a sharp turn for the worse and he went into cardiac arrest and CPR was started.

The much anticipated Pre-Pesach Kumzits for Men, Bochirm and boys took place once again last Wednesday evening. This year was the seventh annual event. The organiser Duddy Iczkovits of Duddy’s Events was only persuaded to make the evening a short time before, just as the bochurim were returning home from Yeshivah.
