The IDF reports that it targeted a Hezbollah drone launch site in Sejoud, southern Lebanon, which had been used earlier in the evening to send explosive-laden drones toward the Golan Heights.

IDF troops discovered and neutralized four bombs planted near the site of a shooting attack in the West Bank, which were intended to target pursuing soldiers. The bombs were found in the Jordan Valley, near the settlement of Beka’ot, where Palestinian gunmen opened fire on Monday before fleeing. According to the IDF, the gunmen attempted to lure soldiers into a trap on a side road, but the military was able to station troops in the area and lay an ambush. Last night, a gunman returned to the scene, intending to carry out another attack, but was killed by the IDF. A second suspect escaped in a car.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reportedly advised Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei against launching a direct attack on Israel, warning of devastating consequences for the country’s infrastructure, economy, and regime stability. According to a report by Iran International, citing anonymous sources, Pezeshkian cautioned Khamenei that an escalation with Israel could lead to severe retaliation, targeting Iran’s critical infrastructure and energy sectors, crippling the economy and exacerbating citizen discontent with the regime.

The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) instructing all Egyptian airlines to avoid Iranian airspace for a three-hour period on Thursday. The advisory, issued on Wednesday, specifies that the restriction will be in effect from 0100 to 0400 GMT. The notice does not provide a reason for the instruction, prompting speculation that Egypt has information that Iran plans to attack Israel during that timeframe.

Israeli officials are increasingly convinced that Hezbollah, rather than Iran, will be the first to launch a major attack on Israel in the coming days, according to a report by Channel 12. The network, citing unnamed sources, also revealed that Israel has warned both Hezbollah and Iran that any harm to Israeli civilians during their planned retaliation for the killing of top terrorist leaders will be considered a red line, triggering a disproportionate response from Israel.  

Lufthansa, Germany’s flagship airline, announced on Wednesday that it is extending its suspension of all flights to and from Israel until next Tuesday, August 13. This decision follows an earlier announcement in which the airline had initially canceled flights only through Monday. Similarly, Italy’s ITA Airways and Greece’s Aegean Airlines also declared on Wednesday that they would be halting their flights to Israel, with ITA suspending services until August 10 and Aegean Airlines extending their cancellations until August 14. These moves come as airlines reassess the safety of operating in the region.

A fire broke out inside a commercial store in Shufat. Palestinian reports claim this is “as a result of zionist forces firing sound and gas bombs.” The IDF has not commented on this incident which may just be a regular fire.

The Jewish Chronicle revealed further details about the shocking elimination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in his bedroom in an IRGC guest house in the heart of Tehran. According to the report, the bomb that killed Haniyeh was placed under his bed by two Iranians recruited by the Mossad from the IRGC’s security unit – the very people who were responsible for ensuring his safety at the guest house. Contrary to previous reports which said that the bomb was placed in the room weeks or months before the elimination, it was placed in the room only nine hours before the explosion – at 4:23 p.m.
