Rav Avrohom Elimelech Biderman celebrated his 57th birthday yesterday.
On Motzaei Shabbos, Rav Meilech traveled to Haifa, where the Be’er HaEmunah group hosted a Melaveh Malkah in his honor. To mark the occasion Rav Meilech’s followers committed to strengthening their observance of shmiras haeinayim (guarding one’s eyes) in honor of his birthday, the 9th of Cheshvan.
A letter, signed by hundreds of followers, reads: “We firmly resolve, without taking a formal vow, to uphold the verse, ‘He who shuts his eyes from seeing evil,’ and to strengthen ourselves in shmiras haeinayim at least 57 times, in honor of our rebbi.”

Dear Matzav Inbox,
This past week, two frum podcasts featured young frum men discussing the fraud they committed and the consequences they now face. I’m writing this letter as a call to action for the frum community. If you think these are isolated cases, then you have your head in the sand.
Why, and how, are we allowing this to happen?
Have we forgotten to teach our children the basics of honesty? Why do we assume, “I won’t get caught”?
Perhaps the problem lies in what was mentioned in one of the episodes: “All we talked about in yeshiva was the guy we knew who left kollel and, in less than two years, owned 15 nursing homes.” Why are our children idolizing people with wealth?

Matzav.com has experienced a remarkable milestone, drawing more visitors than ever in its 18-year history as a trusted news source.
Our site has become the go-to platform for the latest and most relevant news for the Torah community, and this month’s unprecedented surge in traffic highlights that commitment. This peak in readership comes on the heels of our comprehensive election coverage, where Matzav.com was the only platform to publish full-length articles on election night covering every race involving frum candidates.

The father manages to hold onto his child, forcing the attacker to flee the scene.

In an online post, Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan of University Heights, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb, ignited controversy after appearing to single out members of the Orthodox Jewish community and two Jewish council members for their voting patterns in a local election. Although Matzav.com learned that the post was later taken down, screenshots circulated widely, drawing sharp criticism and accusations of antisemitism from community members and beyond.
