New Yorkers lined up to vote early for a third consecutive day Monday, many waiting under umbrellas, after a weekend that saw a crush of more than 400,000 voters statewide. State elections officials said 422,169 people voted Saturday and Sunday, the first two days of early voting in New York. The unofficial tally shows about 194,000 voters this weekend in New York City, where some people waited an hour or more in lines that stretched for several blocks. “We need this to be a better experience. Long lines tell people to go home. That’s just the reality,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday at his daily briefing. De Blasio accused the city’s Board of Elections of being “clearly not prepared” for the heavy turnout.

The New York Police Department said Sunday it has suspended an officer without pay a day after he was seen on video saying “Trump 2020” over a patrol vehicle’s loudspeaker, a violation of department rules. The suspension is effective immediately and the incident remains under investigation, the police department said. Commissioner Dermot Shea tweeted that the behavior of the officer, whose name was not immediately made public, was “One hundred percent unacceptable. Period.” Officers must remain apolitical, he said. Mayor Bill de Blasio promised swift action, tweeting: “ANY NYPD Officer pushing ANY political agenda while on duty will face consequences.

Once again, the NYC Health Department has been caught red-handed, writing a summonses to a totally empty Yeshiva building. In the video below, the viewer will see two inspectors visiting Yeshivat Shaare Torah on Coney Island Avenue in the Midwood section of Brooklyn – an area that has been deemed a “red zone” by NY Governor Cuomo. The Executive Director of the Yeshiva noticed the inspectors, and questioned why they were writing a summons if the building was totally vacant besides for a few staff members doing work. The man invited the inspectors inside the building and offered them to look anywhere they want, and go into any room or floor of the building they choose. The only thing the inspector seemed concerned about was that she was being recorded.

Well over a thousand vehicles were part of the #JewsForTrump” convoy on Sunday, all draped with American flags and Trump 2020 banners, as they rolled slowly through Manhattan and Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon. One large convoy of hundreds of vehicles left Rockland County and met up with the NYC convoys. The caravan passed by Trump Tower in Manhattan before heading to a rally in Marine Park. On Sunday, YWN published multiple videos showing several protesters pelting the vehicles with eggs or stones, snatching flags and shouting insults.

Once again, the Socialist Mayor of NYC, the Honorable Bill DeBlasio showed his true colors as the hypocrite he has always been. On Motzei Shabbos, a video went viral on social media of an NYPD vehicle using their loudspeaker saying “Trump 2020.” “Take a picture, take a picture, take a video, put it on your Facebook, put it on your YouTube,” the officer adds. On Sunday morning, the Mayor was quick to take to Twitter to say “Let me be clear: ANY NYPD Officer pushing ANY political agenda while on duty will face consequences.

The #JewsForTrump vehicle convoy was attacked multiple times around NYC on Sunday. The first reports of violence began on the Prospect Expressway in Brooklyn, when an individual began throwing eggs at the vehicles which were heading to Manhattan. It then escalated to rocks thrown from an overpass on the Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn. Then, a Biden supporter was upset that the hundreds of vehicle had practically stopped traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge, and began throwing punches at vehicles. Around an hour later, things heated up when a vehicle of vehicle occupied by a Jewish family – including young children – was attacked by a woman who aimed pepper-spray into their vehicle. The NYPD quickly made an arrest, and the victim was pressing charges.

A Pro-Trump rally by frum Jews in New York is taking place on Sunday, October 25, beginning with car parades from four New York communities and culminating in a rally in Marine Park in Flatbush. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Saturday morning that he signed an executive order extending the state’s public health emergency for another 30 days — the announcement came as he said the state was reporting the highest daily number of new positive COVID-19 cases since May.
