At least nine shootings took place in New York City from Wednesday night into early Thursday, police said. At least four of the shootings were in Brooklyn, while four more were in the Bronx and another was on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. No one was killed in the shootings, according to police. Meanwhile, the videos being released of some of the shootings show the utter lawlessness that NYC is descending into under the leadership of Socialist DeBlasio. Watch the video below of a group of gunmen jump out of their cars in Brooklyn and shoot an Uber passenger five times. It was just one of many horrific videos released by police. On Wednesday, YWN reported about multiple NYPD Officers were injured in a vicious assault during protest on the Brooklyn bridge.

New York began to allow people to visit loved ones — with restrictions — at nursing homes Wednesday, but few homes have opened their doors. Just 22 of more than 600 nursing homes in New York have submitted needed safety plans to allow limited visits, according to the state Department of Health. And it’s unclear just how many of them started allowing visits Wednesday. Only nursing homes and long-term care facilities without any coronavirus cases among residents and staffers in the last 28 days can allow limited visits, under a plan announced by State Department of Health Commissioner Howard Zucker on Friday. Zucker’s agency had estimated that as many of one-fourth of the state’s nursing homes could qualify under that metric.

The head of the New York State Troopers PBA issued a statement Wednesday “demanding” that state troopers be removed from New York City “and cease any law enforcement activities within that jurisdiction.” According to the PBA Head, the new regulations would “criminalize methods of restraint, including putting any pressure on a person’s chest or back.” FOLLOWING IS THE FULL STATEMENT: As President of the New York State Troopers PBA, I am demanding that New York State Police Superintendent Keith Corlett immediately remove all uniformed State Troopers currently stationed within New York City and cease any law enforcement activities within that jurisdiction.

At least four NYPD officers – including Chief of Department Terry Monahan – were attacked by violent protesters this morning. At least two NYPD officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, were injured in addition to Monahan, who had to be hospitalized with “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to police. The clashes erupted as protesters taking part in a “Stop the Violence” march across the Brooklyn Bridge ran into counter-protesters who have been camping outside City Hall calling for the NYPD to be defunded. At least 16 people are in custody. Charges against them are pending, including disorderly conduct. Watch the “protestor” with a giant metal cane come out of nowhere & beat the cops over the head, then tell me again how the NYPD is “escalating” these situations.

New York City Police Benevolent Association President Patrick J. Lynch blamed Mayor Bill de Blasio and the city council Tuesday for a spike in shootings this summer, telling Fox News contributor Lawrence Jones: “The city has given our streets back.” “Our city council, our mayor’s office, and the state legislature have handcuffed police officers and given the street back to the criminals.” WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)

The violence is continuing in NYC, with shootings and other attacks continuing with no end in sight, turning the city into a live horror movie. Overnight, 6 people were shot in one incident in Crown Heights. Police say that at least two gunmen opened fire on six people in front of 1000 President Street. 4 victims were taken by EMS to the hospital, and another two victims were taken by private car. One of those victims was pronounced dead. An additional four shootings were reported in the past 24 hours as well. Meanwhile, on Tuesday evening, authorities found the dismembered body of a 33-year-old millionaire tech entrepreneur inside his luxury Manhattan condo. The victim was identified as Fahim Saleh.

Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, is the latest national chain to require all customers to wear masks. The change will start next week. Starbucks said last week that it will require customers to wear facial coverings or masks in all 9,000 of its company-owned US stores beginning Wednesday. Best Buy announced Tuesday that it will also require all shoppers coming into its approximately 1,000 stores to wear face masks. Costco began requiring its members to wear masks in stores beginning in May. (AP)

Americans are buying guns in record numbers. The new coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest after the killing of George Floyd and the ensuing movement to defund police are bringing in new buyers worried about their personal safety, according to buyers, store owners and gun experts. Gun sales began rising to unusual highs in March, as coronavirus cases began surging in the U.S. and government-ordered lockdowns led to the highest unemployment levels since the Great Depression. The Federal Bureau of Investigation processed 7.8 million background checks for gun purchases from March to June, according to National Shooting Sports Foundation, a firearms industry trade group. During most big sales increases, buyers tend to be gun aficionados or Second Amendment supporters.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday shot down the prospect of fining travelers from COVID-19 hot spots if they don’t provide contact information to health officials. The first-term Democrat spoke about the new proposal made Monday by fellow Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo that would impose such a fine. “New York and New Jersey do things a little bit differently,” Murphy said during a radio interview on 104.3-FM. “I don’t know that we will be fining people.” New Jersey joined New York and Connecticut last month in advising travelers from states with outbreaks that they’ll need to quarantine for two weeks upon arrival. On Tuesday, Murphy and his fellow governors announced that four states were being added to the list of 19 states.
