Tonight, after many weeks of preparation and anticipation, thousands of our beautiful kollel yungerleit will gather as one. It is perhaps one of the most momentous events of the year as everyone stands together to applaud this very special group. Although I won’t be able to attend for personal reasons, I stand proud that we have this very special group amongst us all. At the same time, I’d like to ask you all a few questions. I’m asking with the utmost respect and I’m not coming from a place of envy, bitterness or any negative energy. Being a business owner for many years, I’ve come across the most angelic of heros I’ve ever met. Heros in the form of competitors, fellow vendors and many more. I’ve seen firsthand the absolute beauty of them practicing and living the Torah.

Your site takes great glee in assigning blame to President Joseph Biden for matters beyond his control, and actions which he did not cause – such as your site recently saying “Thanks, Biden!” when illegal immigrant Bernardo Raul Castro-Mata, a 19-year-old from Venezuela, shot at two NYC police officers and they returned fire. Additionally, your editor delighted in pointing out and drawing attention to the immature behavior of the person deliberately placed behind Dr. Anthony Fauci at a Congressional hearing, but your alleged “journalism” omitted that the person making faces and pouting was convicted January 6 rioter Brandon Fellows was seated behind Fauci. Fellows made pouty faces when Fauci was describing the death threats he, his wife, and his daughters have endured. Dr.

Growing up as a child, the thrill and ambiance of Yom Tov was beyond words. But as you grow up and get older, and the exuberance of a Yom Tov unfortunately falls away, that earlier thrill must be transformed into reverence for it. Unfortunately, it is obvious that many people are stuck in a stage […]

In the past number of years, frum communities in the United States appear, at least to me, to have taken a decided shift in favor of certain practices that were not common just a few years back. For instance, meditation classes are not hard to find. The problem is that this trend has, in some cases, gone […]

If it weren’t so infuriating, it would be funny. Since the IDF withdrew its forces from Khan Younis on Sunday, Palestinians have been trickling back into the city, and the mainstream leftist media is all over it, using every eye-catching adjective they can muster. “Stunned Palestinians” returned to their homes, the AP breathlessly reported. It […]

I am writing this letter as a parent and fellow Yid (at least that’s what I thought I was). My family is not from the Lakewood, Jackson, Howell, Brick, Toms River, etc. communities. We would most likely be considered “out of towners,” but yesterday, Purim Day, we found ourselves in one of the above listed […]

It is hard to ignore the exciting ‘collecting’ brochures coming in the mail or found tucked away in the folds of a magazine. They display the most awesome-looking and enticing prizes. The organizations sending these brochures are noteworthy indeed, and they certainly deserve Klal Yisroel’s support. After all, are they not helping our suffering brothers […]

Dear Senator Schumer, I am a long time Brooklyn resident and supporter of yours. I have defended you among colleagues even when it was unpopular to do so, as when you delayed in opposing president Obama’s support for the Iranian deal. More recently, I pointed to your sincere and personal condemnation of antisemitism from the […]

As many people are well aware, an event scheduled to take place in Flatbush on Tuesday was canceled over a planned protest by pro-Palestinian activists outside the venue, which is a shul. As someone who was involved in the event and its ultimate cancellation, I have some information that others may not be privy to. […]

With all the talk about the age gap that exists in shidduchim, the general problems with the current shidduch system are forgotten about. But unfortunately, even when taking out the age gap crisis, things in the “market” are going quickly from bad to worse. I know it, because I’m living it. Here’s what just happened to me, […]
