There was an unusual incident in the Dahiyeh neighborhood of Beirut, Lebanon, where Hezbollah’s headquarters are located. According to reports from the scene, dozens of Hezbollah terrorists were wounded due to the explosion of communication devices. A series of communication devices used by Hezbollah exploded simultaneously at several locations in Lebanon, including in the Dahiyeh neighborhood and the south of the country. These devices were intended for internal, encrypted messaging and several media reports are saying that Israeli hacked the portable devices and caused them to explode. A source told Reuters that he personally witnessed at least 10 Hezbollah terrorists bleeding from wounds caused by the blasts.

The Shin Bet thwarted a Hezbollah attempt to assassinate a former senior Israeli security official which was set to be carried out in the coming days, the Shin Bet revealed on Tuesday afternoon. In its announcement, the Shin Bet also revealed for the first time that Hezbollah was behind the attempted attack in Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv in September 2023. The Shin Bet found a Claymore explosive device, which is known to be used by Hezbollah, with a remote activation mechanism based on a camera and a cell phone  that was set to be activated by Hezbollah from Lebanon. “Operational preparation and the activity of the forces prevented the attack in the final stages of implementation,” the Shin Bet stated.

Likud MK Dan Illouz and Religious Zionist MK Tzvi Sukkot sent a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu last week demanding the urgent cancellation of the gas agreement between Israel and Lebanon signed by the previous government in 2022 under then interim prime minister Yair Lapid. In their letter, they emphasized that “in light of the daily attacks on Israel from Lebanon since October 7, there is no longer any justification for maintaining the existing agreement.” The MKs noted that along with many other politicians, they warned of the severe possible repercussions at the time of the signing of the deal – that it will be seen as a sign of weakness and invite further attacks.

Israel’s security cabinet has added a new war goal: to return the residents of the north to their homes, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced early Tuesday morning. Israel’s security cabinet met in the Kiryah in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night following the meetings of US special envoy Amos Hochstein with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant earlier in the day. Hochstein flew to Israel as part of the Biden administration’s last-ditch attempt to forge a diplomatic solution to the Hezbollah terror group’s ongoing attacks on Israel. However, both Gallant and Netanyahu made it clear to Hochstein that “the window for a diplomatic solution” has passed and Israel must do what it takes to restore security to its northern border.

Former President Donald Trump publicly detailed the second assassination attempt against him for the first time on Monday, praising the quick actions of the Secret Service, law enforcement, and a sharp-witted witness who helped capture the suspect. “It was very peaceful, very beautiful weather, everything was beautiful, a nice place to be,” Trump said during a conversation on X Spaces. “All of a sudden we heard shots being fired in the air—probably four or five—and it sounded like bullets. But Secret Service knew immediately it was bullets, and they grabbed me.” Trump explained how he was quickly moved off the golf course by the Secret Service. “We got into the carts and moved along pretty good,” Trump said. “The agent did a fantastic job.

On Monday, the FBI disclosed that Ryan Routh, the suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, had been the subject of a tip to the FBI back in 2019. This new information emerged during a press conference held by Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey B. Veltri. “Following up on the tip, the alleged complainant was interviewed and … did not verify providing the initial information. The FBI passed that information to local law enforcement in Honolulu,” Veltri stated. According to Veltri, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the 58-year-old suspect, Ryan Routh, who was then transferred to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. “Our FBI agents then attempted to interview him, and he invoked his right to an attorney,” Veltri said.

Former President Donald Trump, who enjoys widespread support among Orthodox Jews and Chasidim, is scheduled to visit the Williamsburg neighborhood on Thursday, sources within the NYPD confirmed to YWN. The upcoming visit, which has already sparked significant attention, includes a planned stop at Gottlieb’s Restaurant, a well-known kosher eatery located at Roebling Street and Division Avenue. Secret Service agents were spotted conducting advance preparations at the restaurant, a common procedure ahead of a presidential or high-profile visit. This meticulous planning is key to ensuring the safety and security of the President during public appearances.

The man suspected in an apparent assassination attempt targeting former President Donald Trump camped outside a golf course with food and a rifle for nearly 12 hours before a Secret Service agent confronted him and opened fire, according to court documents filed Monday. Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, faces charges of possessing a firearm despite a prior felony conviction and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Additional and more serious charges are possible as the investigation continues and Justice Department prosecutors seek an indictment from a grand jury. Routh appeared briefly in federal court in West Palm Beach, where he answered perfunctory questions about his work status and income.

The man accused of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a Florida golf course may have had inside information on his movements, according to a former FBI official. Chris Swecker, a former FBI assistant director, told Newsweek that investigators will need to determine how Ryan Wesley Routh knew Trump’s exact whereabouts during the incident. Shots were fired at Trump National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, where Trump, the leading candidate for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, was golfing. No injuries were reported, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The FBI has since joined the investigation into the shooting, with Swecker describing Routh as a “wingnut” with a deep disdain for authority.

Intensive coalition talks have been taking place over the last 24 hours in preparation for Gideon Sa’ar to join Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government. Saar wants the defense ministry and that’s the main focus of the discussions between him and Netanyahu. Kan News reported that Netanyahu has decided to fire Gallant, and implementing this move is just a matter of time. However, Likud members are considering another option in case Gallant isn’t removed from his position, with Sa’ar receiving the foreign affairs ministry and Yisrael Katz being compensated with another position. Sources in the Likud say that the moment Netanyahu decides to fire Gallant, Saar will be ready to join the government.
