Two Israeli women in their 20s were murdered and another was critically injured in a shooting attack on Friday morning in the Jordan Valley in northern Israel. The terrorists shot at a car and the driver lost control of the wheel and smashed into a truck. MDA paramedics who arrived at the scene initially believed they were responding to a car accident but then saw bullet wounds on the victims. MDA paramedics pronounced the death of the two women at the scene and administered emergency medical aid to a 45-year-old woman who suffered a serious head injury. She was then airlifted by helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. The attack occurred at the Hamra Junction, near the Israel town of Hamra.

Israel launched rare strikes in southern Lebanon early Friday and pressed on with bombing targets in the Gaza Strip in response to rocket fire from Gaza on Leil HaSeder and the launching of 34 rockets from Lebanon on the first day of Pesach. Another 44 rockets were launched into Israel from the Gaza Strip overnight Thursday, with a new salvo fired early Friday morning. Sirens blared in Ashkelon, Sderot, Ibim, Yated, Nir Am, Gavim, Sapir, Nachal Oz, Alumim, and Mefalsim. An apartment in a building in Sderot sustained a direct hit by shrapnel but B’Chasdei Hashem, the residents of the apartment, a mother and a daughter, had run to the safe room and were uninjured. A number of people were treated for shock.

Terrorists in Lebanon fired a heavy barrage of rockets at Israel on Thursday, the Israeli military said, forcing people across Israel’s northern frontier into bomb shelters, wounding at least two people. Israel’s military said 34 rockets had been fired across the border, and that 25 were shot down by its Iron Dome aerial defense system. Another five rockets struck Israeli territory and the rest of the strikes were being investigated, security forces added. The army’s response would come after “a situational assessment” and meeting by Israel’s Security Cabinet later Thursday, it said. The unusually large salvo of rockets raised fears of a wider conflagration, as Israel’s bitter enemy, the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah, holds sway over much of southern Lebanon.

Someone used Donald Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday to his prankster-minded advantage by riding around in a limo while dressed as Donald Trump. Bystanders were shocked as they saw what some thought was the actual former president rolling around Manhattan near Trump Tower. As protesters and counter-protesters gathered near Trump’s skyscraper, a red-faced man waved at the crowd from a limo as he passed by with a fake security detail along with him in the vehicle. The real Trump left the tower a bit later. Around 1 pm, the former president left through a side door, entered a waiting SUV, and headed over to the courthouse, where he was booked and read his charges before submitting a not guilty plea. As former President Donald Trump walked stone-faced out of a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday afternoon after being charged and booked over hush money payments he made to two women in 2016, his legal team followed in tow. Curiously to many watching the drama unfold, two men wearing yarmulkas were seen on camera walking along with Trump’s legal team just behind the president. While Trump has a crew of lawyers working on his defense against Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s charges against him, the inclusion of two Orthodox Jewish lawyers has never been publicly disclosed. One of the lawyers appears to Gedalia M.

Two IDF soldiers were wounded in a stabbing attack, one seriously and one lightly, near an army base in Tzirifin in central Israel on Tuesday morning. MDA paramedics administered emergency medical aid to the victims at the scene and evacuated them to the Shamir and Assaf HaRofeh Hospitals. One terrorist was neutralized and arrested by the police. The possibility that another terrorist was involved in the attack is being investigated. This is a developing story. (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)

An enraged Donald Trump demanded on Monday night that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg “indict himself,” less than a day before he steps into a NYC courthouse to be arraigned on nearly three dozen charges related to his 2016 hush money payments. “Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic indictment against me,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he. The means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED.” “Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he do the honorable thing ad, as District Attorney, INDICT HIMSELF,” Trump continued.

The Rav of the Kosel, Rav Shmuel Rabinowitz, supervised the removal of the notes placed between the Kosel stones in the past six months on Sunday morning. The process was carried out according to halachic guides using gloves and disposable wooden utensils. The notes were collected in sacks and will be buried as sheimos in a genizah. The minhag of placing notes between the Kosel stones was mentioned by the Ohr Chayim HaKadosh about 300 years ago. “An average of about 3,000 notes are sent every month through the website of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation in addition to the hundreds of thousands of notes personally placed by visitors,” the foundation stated.

A shocking violent incident occurred during a left-wing protest in Tel Aviv last Sunday, when dozens of protesters broke into an empty home, ransacked and looted its contents and burned it in a bonfire on the Ayalon Highway. The protests in Tel Aviv that day had deteriorated into violence and complete anarchy as thousands blocked the Ayalon for hours, lit bonfires, and confronted the police. According to a Channel 14 report, at one point, dozens of protesters began looking for more incendiary material for the fires they were setting. They dismantled a wooden fence nearby and when they noticed an empty residence, they broke into it, dismantled its windows and doors, looted its contents, including closets, tables, chairs, and beds, and burned it in bonfires on the highway.
