Baltimore police have charged three teenagers with first-degree murder, alleging that they were involved in the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Ephraim Gordon z’l in Northwest Baltimore last month. William Clinton III, 18, and a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old are being held without bail, police said. Efraim Gordon was fatally shot multiple times May 3 in what police said appeared to be a robbery. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. Gordon had traveled from Israel to Baltimore for a week’s visit to attend his cousin’s wedding. When he was shot in the Glen neighborhood, he was walking back to his aunt and uncle’s house, Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer previously said.

Facebook announced Friday that former President Donald Trump’s account will remain suspended for two years, setting a timetable for his potential return after its oversight board criticized his indefinite ban. “Given the gravity of the circumstances that led to Mr. Trump’s suspension, we believe his actions constituted a severe violation of our rules which merit the highest penalty available under the new enforcement protocols,” Facebook’s vice president of global affairs Nick Clegg said in a blog post. “We are suspending his accounts for two years, effective from the date of the initial suspension on January 7 this year.” (Source: Politico)

Defense Minister Benny Gantz landed in the US on Thursday to meet with Secretary of State Antony Blinken and senior US security officials to discuss regional issues and military aid. Gantz is the first senior Israeli official to visit the White House and the US State Department since President Biden entered office. Gantz met with Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who “highlighted the importance of ensuring that immediate humanitarian aid is able to reach the people of Gaza.” “The Biden administration is determined to restore aid to the Palestinians that President Donald Trump had all but cut to zero,” Sullivan said in a statement after the meeting.

Matthias Schmale, the head of the UN Palestinian “refugee” organization in Gaza who caused an uproar for saying in an interview that IDF strikes in Gaza were “precise and sophisticated,” was expelled from Gaza and suspended from his position. A British court ruled on Friday that Alte Fixsler, 2, who suffered a brain injury during birth and cannot breathe or eat on her own, cannot be taken to Israel and can only be provided with palliative care. The decision was made despite the fact that it violates the frum couple’s religious beliefs and despite the fact that Alte and her parents are Israeli citizens and want to transfer her to a hospital in Jerusalem at their own expense. Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust funds Alta’s treatment and the foundation appealed to the High Court to withdraw treatment since doctors have said that Alte has “no prospect of recovery,” requesting to only provide her with palliative care. The Fixslers, who are Belzer chassidim, have been fighting to take Alta to Israel for further treatment.

It’s over a month since the shocking story of the Christian missionary family who infiltrated themselves into the frum community in French Hill hit the news but the repercussions are still being felt. Michael Cohen and his children have left the neighborhood of French Hill and it is currently unknown where they’re living. Cohen was recently spotted in Beit Shemesh, sans his Chareidi disguise, in an apparent attempt to check out the neighborhood as a place for his family to live. Meanwhile, chashuve Rabbanim have issued piskei halacha on thorny issues caused by the fact that Cohen, who is completely non-Jewish, served as a sofer, mohel and mesader kiddushin.

It seems that everyone was picking on innocent Heshy Tichler on Wednesday night. In just a matter of a few hours, Tischler got assaulted by two men who apparently had a “score to settle” with him, and was later kicked out of Maimonides Hospital – something that rarely happens. As YWN reported on Wednesday night, two men arrived in a car outside Tischler’s Boro Park home looking for him. Tischler immediately recognized the men from a previous altercation he had with them at a rally / demonstration that Tischler attended. One of them men punched Tischler in the head. Police tell YWN that they have good leads, and hope to make a swift arrest in the case. Tischler then made a video alleging that the men were from “a black lives matter”, and then added “Black Lives Matter, you want a war?
