The Biden administration approved the sale of advanced precision-guided missiles to Israel, bypassing attempts of progressive Democrats to block it, Jewish Currents reported on Tuesday. The State Department granted an export license to the Boeing weapons manufacturer for the $735 million sale of Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) and Small Diameter Bombs to Israel on Friday. Apparently, the resolutions against the sale submitted by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Mark Pocan in the House and Bernie Sanders in the Senate were introduced right before the 15-day period allowed for objections was over and it was too late for the issue to be brought for a vote.

President Joe Biden on Wednesday asked U.S. intelligence officials to “redouble” their efforts to investigate the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the possibility that the origins of the virus trace to Chinese lab. After months of minimizing the possibility as a fringe theory, the Biden administration is responding both to domestic and geopolitical concerns about putting pressure on China to be transparent about the outbreak. Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, have promoted the theory that the virus emerged from a laboratory accident, rather than naturally through human contact with an infected animal.

Following an arrest on Tuesday of a suspect in in hate crimes that occurred in Boro Park and Flatbush this past Shabbos, two additional suspects were taken into custody by the NYPD on Wednesday. Their names and exact charges will be published when they become available to YWN. On Tuesday, YWN reported the arrest of Daniel Shaukat, 20-year-old male of 2262 65 Street, Brooklyn, NY. He was charged with Aggravated Harassment / Hate Crime. As YWN reported, two hate crimes took place on Shabbos afternoon. The first was on Ocean Parkway and 18th Avenue, when two Yeshiva boys were attacked by a group of three teens who were driving a Toyota Camry.

The Son of Hamas Mosab Yousef said that Israel should eliminate senior Hamas leaders to teach them a lesson and hold them accountable. Yousef, the son of a senior Hamas leader who grew dissatisfied with the cruelty and corruption of the terror movement and collaborated with the Shin Bet for ten years, has lived in the US since 2018. “Assassinating Hamas leadership will not destroy Hamas, but it will teach them a lesson and hold them accountable,” Yousef said in a phone interview with the New York Post.  “Next time, before you get civilians on both sides involved in a bloodbath, you need to think 1,000 times.

Meanwhile, late Tuesday night the NY Post published a poll that shows Eric Adams as the frontrunner in the race for Mayor. Eighteen percent of likely Democratic voters said they were backing or leaning toward Adams, followed by 13 percent for Yang and 11 percent for Garcia, in the Fontas/Core Decision Analytics survey.

New York prosecutors have convened a special grand jury to consider evidence in a criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump’s business dealings, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The development signals that the Manhattan district attorney’s office was moving toward seeking charges as a result of its two-year investigation, which included a lengthy legal battle to obtain Trump’s tax records. The person familiar with the matter was not authorized to speak publicly and did so on condition of anonymity. The news was first reported by The Washington Post. Thanks to incredible NYPD Detective work, one out of three suspects in hate crimes that occurred in Boro Park and Flatbush this past Shabbos have been taken into custody.
