Delta Air Lines is investigating how a stowaway was able to travel from New York to Paris without a boarding pass on a Tuesday flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport.
An emailed statement from the Transportation Security Administration said the unnamed individual underwent security screening, including in-person and with bags, without any prohibited items. The agency said it will “independently review the circumstances of this incident at our travel document checker station at JFK to ensure future incidents do not occur.”

The State Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday that it will file an indictment against four suspects over the launching of maritime flares at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea on the night of Nov. 16.
“There is prima facie reason to file an indictment against them as well as request their arrest until the end of the legal proceedings,” said the State Attorney’s Office.

The Parliament of Lebanon is scheduled to convene on Jan. 9 to elect a president, seeking to end a leadership vacuum that has persisted for over two years, state media reported on Thursday.
The announcement followed the implementation of a ceasefire between Jerusalem and Beirut, ending the nearly 14-month war between the Jewish state and Hezbollah, which has had de facto control over Lebanon’s policies and large parts of its territory.
“Speaker Nabih Berri has scheduled a parliamentary session on January 9 to elect the president of the republic,” Lebanon’s National News Agency reported. Berri is a politician for the Shi’ite Amal party, and he has close ties to the leadership of Hezbollah.

The Israel Defense Forces troops shot down a drone that was carrying weapons and ammunition and crossed from Egyptian territory into the western Negev, the army said on Wednesday evening.
