Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, who entered the 2020 contest by making the case that climate change is the central issue of our time, dropped out of the Democratic presidential race on Wednesday.
Inslee announced on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” that he was dropping out. He had argued when he declared his candidacy in March that addressing climate change – “the most urgent challenge of our time” – should be a top priority.
The two-term governor released a plan that called for a new Justice Department office to prosecute environmental laws and vowed to put at least 40 percent of federal investments in clean energy in communities disproportionately affected by income inequality, pollution and other climate-related impacts.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has released a $16.3 trillion climate plan that builds on the Green New Deal and calls for the United States to move to renewable energy across the economy by 2050 and declare climate change a national emergency.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that its Air Forces carried out several strikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip overnight in response to a rocket fired from the Strip into Israel’s border communities earlier on Wednesday evening, marking the fifth incident of rocket fire in six days.
“In response to the rocket fired from Gaza to Israel, we just struck a number of military targets in a Hamas naval facility in the northern Gaza Strip,” the IDF stated in a tweet late Wednesday night.
Earlier in the night, the IDF confirmed that following a rocket had been launched from Gaza, but no alert sirens sounded as the projectile fell into an open area in southern Israel.

Seven members of a frum family were set upon by a swarm of bees at a park in Safsufa, and were evacuated for further medical treatment at Ziv Hospital in Tzfas.
MDA was called to the park to provide medical care to the seven family members – two adults and five children ages 4 to 10 – after the family was attacked by a swarm of bees during their outing. The family had been driving a jeep on a track when hundreds of bees began to attack them, stinging the family members dozens of times each.
After the initial treatment, the family members were evacuated to the hospital for further medical treatment.

The site also offers international businesses to use Amazon’s logistical system in Israel.

Local Delivery is one aspect of Global Selling that looks to improve the opportunities for sellers in Israel to sell more effectively to customers in Israel who shop on Amazon.com,” Amazon said in a statement.
“We hope that through this program, we will be able to provide our customers in Israel with even more local products to choose from with quicker deliver speeds. We will share more information shortly,” it stated.
