Yoni Z is one of the most popular Jewish Singers to ever hit the Jewish Music scene. Yoni is not only one of the most talented singers in Jewish Music today, he’s also one of the best composers – and one of the few singers who also writes most of his songs lyrics. Not every singer composes, and it’s even more uncommon for a singer to compose all the music on his album & write all the lyrics. Talented isn’t a good enough word for a singer like that.
Yoni Z only released 1 album so far and already managed to be one of the top singers today coming in just under the number 10 spot in a poll Jewish Singers conducted a few months ago. Yoni has also amassed well over 10,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, and his music videos & songs have been played millions of times. Most singers never reach 10,000 subscribers & millions of plays on their music videos ever, and the ones who do reach these milestones after years of singing. Yoni only has one album out – so numbers like these show we’re dealing with a true star.
Yoni released his first album a few years ago after being in the works for a long time. The album was in the works for such a long time in fact that a few songs from the album were released as singles before the album came out. Still though, the album was one of the biggest hits in Jewish Music and Music videos from the album did extremely well. Yoni then went on to release his single Power which came along with a lyric video that currently has over half a million views!
It was a while before Yoni would release his next single, but Lanetzach came out to rave reviews set to come out on the head of Yoni’s 2nd album which was in the works. The album ended up getting delayed through 2020, and Yoni was making slow progress over time. In the next few months Yoni would partner up to release 2 hit songs with the popular Thank You Hashem organization “Every Yids A Fire”, & “Nothing Can Stop you” both of which performed greatly. Yoni then had one more release before the 2021 year ended – but this song would be something shocking.
As 2021 was coming to a close Yoni began to work full force on his new album hoping for a release date for Purim of 2022. Yoni had just one surprise single to end off the year. Crown was released with one of the most spectacular music videos Jewish Music has ever seen. The music video already has over 350,000 views – and the song is doing amazing too! Yoni even did an interview with us at Jewish Hock after releasing Crown.
Yoni wasn’t done with releases yet. 2022 brought his newest single Boee, along with a Music video from the talented video producer Motty Berkowitz. Both Crown and Boee will be featured on Yoni’s new upcoming album but Yoni said “If you think Crown & Boee are the hits of the album you got something else coming”. Yoni was also seen saying that he thinks his new album is “a lot better than his first” – and it seems like his fans will be amazed!
Just recently Yoni Z unveiled the cover of his new album which we now know will be called “Ahava”. Yoni also released little snippets of some of the songs. Fans are getting really excited & we will keep you updated with any new information on Yoni’s new album. The album looks like it will be coming out sometime in the next few weeks. It’s possible the album comes out before Pesach – but also possible it gets delayed a few weeks until after Pesach. Music videos for the album are expected starting after Lag Ba’omer, and hopefully we’ll get more than 1 or 2!
Yoni Z’s new album is expected to be one of the biggest albums to come out this year – and will definitely be a huge hit. The question is, with singers like Mordechai Shapiro, Yaakov Shwekey, & Simcha Leiner releasing albums soon too – how will Yoni perform? Can Yoni move up into the top 5 Jewish Singers? Could Yoni potentially take the 1st place spot from Mordechai Shapiro?
Only time will tell the rest of the story, but one thing is for certain. Jewish Music doesn’t see stars like this very often – and who knows maybe one of the songs in Yoni’s new album is titled “One In A Million” https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.1.0/72x72/1f609.png" alt="
