It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Reb Chaim Ber Meisels z”l of Williamsburg. He was 45.
Reb Chaim Ber was a well-known baal chesed and baal tzedakah, a beloved member of the community in Brooklyn.
Reb Chaim donated substantial sums to tzedakah, both for those in need in Eretz Yisroel and for the needy, yesomim, and alamanos in the United States.
One of his close acquaintances relayed, “He was a person full of simchas hachaim, and he loved all people, regardless of their background or affiliation. Reb Chaim Ber always helped each and every individual.
“So many families were helped when Reb Chaim Ber covered all their wedding expenses. It didn’t matter to him if he had just paid for a wedding yesterday. Today’s wedding was on his mind, and he approached it with the same open heart.
“It’s hard to imagine how many weddings Reb Chaim Ber personally contributed to. Even during his difficult illness, on his sickbed, he managed to raise funds for tzedakah and offered encouragement and chizuk.”
The levayah will take place today at 11:30 a.m. at the main Satmar Bais Medrash in Kiryas Yoel.
Yehi zichro boruch.
